Weekend Snapshot: Dimsum treat on Mother’s Day
12 May 2008
I’ve been craving for Chinese foods since the other week and finally had a taste of my fave Dimsum at Little Kowloon yesterday after the worship service. My sister Che-Che loves siomai a lot and so far, her favorite is Chowking’s but yesterday, she said it tastes better than Chowking. She finally distinguished which is best. Anyway, here’s the photo I took using Ace’ mobile phone.
The different kinds of dips/sauce

The all-time favorite Steamed Fried Rice (we’ve been to different Dimsum Restos but haven’t seen nor tasted any like this.

Ace’ favorite…Chicken Feet

mine is Stuffed Shrimp and Siomai

That’s our way of celebrating Mother’s Day. PILS have not arrived from their vacation in Siquijor yet and my younger sister Carol and family already moved to Trento so we just celebrated it by ourselves. After lunch, we are so full that we haven’t taken any snacks before we took dinner at around 9PM. As I was saying to my sister yesterday, the best food doesn’t have to be too expensive like the ones found in restos for I and Ace are not Japanese eaters*..we don’t eat with our eyes but we eat with our taste buds.
*Note: According to fresh fruit exporters, Japanese eat with their eyes…I mean, dishes should look perfectly good. Such that pineapple and banana from Philippines exported to Japan should look perfectly ripe without any blemish or spots.
