Show up Mr. Sun
I am looking forward for this day. It’s my first time to join the Fanatic Photographer’s Society sunset over the city photo ops. Days before, I and Wacky (a super fanatic member who happened to be my high school classmate) decided to meet up @ 3PM to have some gabbing time because we haven’t seen each other for more than a decade already. Yesterday, he PMed me saying he cannot make it to the shoot because he has an appointment. He will be assisting Rhonson Ng in the workshop he will be conducting in preparation for the coming Manny Librodo portraiture workshop on the 26th. Ok, that’s fine. So I will be going there just in time for the shoot.
I was off at 3PM, had a short rest and started to prepare. Time runs so fast and hurriedly prepared the gear. I was planning to drop by at Gaisano Mall to get a CF card but I’m running out of time so I went straight to the group’s meeting place. Glad that Ate Tere and Kuya Jun are already there so I won’t feel out of place. At 5, we went up Landco buidling’s rooftop for the activity. While all else are setting up their gears, mine was just “get from the bag and shoot” because I don’t have a tripod and another lens to mount in the cam. Mr. Sun wasn’t cooperative this time. He was hid behind a thick cloud cluster. I had a great time taking a snap of the city’s view. Though some members are just very accommodating and helpful, I felt I am lost. It’s really different when you’re in a group of so-called “photograpers”. Eveybody’s busy with their own thing so I also kept myself busy.
