It’s fall here in the Philippines!LOL. We really don’t have fall season as we are only blessed with 2 which are wet (rainy season) and dry (summer). When I and my sister Carol saw this Talisay tree (Terminalia catappa), or the local name of the tropical Almond tree in Isla Reta beach resort (Talicud Island, Davao del Norte) last weekend, we exclaimed “Ruby Tuesday entry”! This is my first time to see red leaves of Talisay tree as I usually see orange ones. The leaves turn orange before they wither. But this time, it’s RED. Continue Reading »

Remember my post about the wedding giveaways project? At last, I’m finally done wrapping the tumblers with white tulle. Yey! Next step will be sewing the sequins and beads in the tulle. I thought that’s the final thing but I just realized I still need to draft the “thank you” tags. Maybe I can request Ace to print it in his office….shhhh! Additional 100 tumblers and shuttlecocks will be purchased on Wednesday, hopefully, after I receive my earnings from blogging tomorrow night. Continue Reading »

Weekend was spent in Isla Reta Beach Resort, Talicud Island. It’s a one-hour boat ride from Sta. Ana wharf. Yesterday, we hired a motorized boat to tour us around the island. Here’s one of the starfishes we saw when we stopped at the residential area not far from the resort for the boatman to get our life vests. Continue Reading »

Thanks God it’s Friday! Time to sit down and see how beautiful the skies in different places are. My sky watch photo was taken the other Sunday. My first sunset shoot with hubby at SunCity. We went home immediately after the worship service, had an afternoon nap and walked to my favorite sunset spot. It is hubby’s first time there for a sunset shoot and he did enjoyed it though it is not a very warm, colorful and dramatic sunset…just a little hue of red in the clouds when Mr. Sun finally rest for the day.

Finally I’m done putting shuttlecock in the glass tumblers with decorative stone for the wedding favors I am doing yesterday. The stones were supposed to hold the shuttlecock in place. I have to tilt the tumbler so the stones and beads will stay in one side while I put on the shuttlecock and make sure its bottom touches the glass and then shake the tumbler so the stones will move…shake a little bit until the shuttlecock stands firm in the middle of the stones and beads. Before evening came, I was done with 150 pcs and was thrilled at the sight of the tumblers laid in the floor. I’m almost halfway done! I spent the night cutting the tulle to my desired size so I can wrap the tumblers today and put some adornment after. Anyway, here’s the photos I took of the giveaways. Continue Reading »
