My sister learned a way to save. She and Kuya Ace brings food for lunch. At first she was only bringing rice. Since I want her and Ace to save some amount from eating in their respective canteens, I cook for their lunch early in the morning. Rising early is a lot of sacrifice for me though because I can’t sleep until past midnight making me sleepy as early as Ace leaves for work. I only make up for that lack of sleep for at least 30-min afternoon nap. We have saved 50% from Che2x’s daily allowance since the day she’s bringing her lunch to school. With Ace, is bringing his lunch because he’s sure that he likes the food. If he can’t bring his lunch, he goes home to eat during lunch break. Canteen food are commercialized so the taste is different from that of home-cooked.
