It’s my day!

I am so thankful for this day…that I am still alive and kicking after 30 loooonggg years of survival. I am so blessed with a hubby, a family, and friends that are essential to my survival despite all the odds. Last year was not the toughest but I could say one of the best.

To my family and extended family members who sent their greetings, my good old friends who still remember today as my DAY, my online friends, my former colleagues, and everybody who greeted me in one way or another. A big thanks!

Checking…

Eight years ago, we were in Cebu City. Ace lives in his uncle’s house in Banawa while I live with our preacher’s family in Mabolo. From downtown (where we usually go) we should go on different directions when going home. Since Ace was over protective that time (and I cannot be trusted on going home alone especially if I ride a jeepney), he walks me home in Casal’s Village no matter what time it is in the evening. Travel time from Mabolo to Banawa is around an hour and I cannot just help but worry about Ace going home to his Uncle’s place because he has to pass by a squatter’s area and I don’t think it is really safe. So what Ace does is call me when he’s home and everytime Ate Maricor (the preacher’s wife now our 2nd parent) hands me the phone, she teases me with her remarkable smile saying “checking…”.
