A churchmate who’s also my elementary classmate, HS and College  schoolmate is getting married early next year. She once asked for my suggestion of a wedding ceremony and reception venue here in Davao when we had a chat. She’s now based in UK so she has no idea what are the nice venues here. So I named a few nice venues with affordable rate since splurging on wedding is not in her mind. She then mentioned about the wedding suppliers and photographers that I may have known and asked me of my feedback. Next time that we’ll be able to chat, I will suggest the wedding supplies site that I recently bumped into. Since she wanted a personalized wedding favors and other things for her wedding, she might find it at The Knot Shop for they offer wedding supplies that aren’t easy to find in stores. The great news is, prices are cheaper compared to others so she might save some amount if she gets some supplies at the said store. In case she’ll have some purchases on the last minute, she doesn’t have to worry because The Knot Shop offers 24-hour turnaournd time so things will arrive just in time for her wedding. Oh well, how I wish I was an internet junkie before my wedding. The Knot Shop might be of great help to me.

I’ve talked about our plan of getting a new baby (not the literal baby) in my previous posts and we scheduled it yesterday. It’s actually a gift from Ace but the giver is more excited than the receiver!*lol* After my haircut, we went to Canon dHUB to purchase the item but it’s out of stock. Bummer! All the while we thought we could get it yesterday so we are a bit disappointed. Anyhow, stocks are coming and we reserved one so we might get it tomorrow or on Friday. The people in dHUB are so accommodating so we stayed there for a while and Ace got the chance to try some DSLRs on display. Now he got another thing in mind and I am pretty sure he will work hard to have it. Let’s wait and see next year.

We had a very quiet day yesterday. I decided not to tire myself from prepping for a celebration because we are saving for our new baby. Not that what you think.*wink*. We’re saving for an addition to our photogrphy hobby so I don’t want to spend some amount just for the celebration. Besides, I am already “old” for a birthday bash so I and Ace ended up in Grub resto/cafe along Duterte St. for a lunch date. Yay! Another bonding moment because Ace took the day off from work as he already scheduled a leave during my birthday months ago. After lunch, we hit the mall and I got my hair cut at Hair Studio. It’s my first time there and I wasn’t disappointed. The hairstylist did a great job just what I wanted for my hair. So now my hair is back to my old “school days” cut and I love it because I don’t have to spend time to fix it. It’s actually wash and wear. No photos yet because I am too busy to upload the pictures to the computer.

Mamang used to say I should buy gold jewelries before I get married for two reasons – I might not be able to buy one for myself when I am married, and it’s a good investment. I actually heard my former colleagues saying that gold jewelries are good investment because its market value appreciate and does not depreciates no matter how old it is.

To this day, buying gold is still a good investment because the price of gold is getting higher. Aside from jewelries and gold bullion, gold coins could be a good investment product and if you are looking where to purchase it, try at Monex Deposit Company (MDC). The products could be delivered to you or could arrange a safe bank storage if you want to just store it in a safe at the bank. I think this is a wise investment. Instead of just letting your money sleep in the bank with a meager interest rate, why not try investing in gold coins and other precious metals such as silver.

Che2x is not here so I am home alone (again) when Ace is at work. That means, I could only exercise my vocal cords when Ace is at home so I talk to the cat and dogs more often lately. I find it so cute because they are responding with a meow and a bark when I am saying something to them. The neighbor may wonder who am I talking because they would only hear me talking and nobody is talking back to me*lol*.

I’ve been contemplating if I’d stop subscribing with SmartBro because I find PLDT myDSL inefficient. myDSL connection goes down more than once a day and it really sucks. Then, upload is not that fast so I have problem uploading photos to flickr®. It takes more than 5 minutes to upload a 3MB photo which means, it will literally take me forever to upload my backlogs. One thing that is consistent with myDSL is that at 5PM or later, connection starts to slow down until I can’t connect anymore! So I have to shift from PLDT myDSL to SmartBro. Now I find SmartBro even better. As of the moment, I have two ISPs which means, I’ll be paying both next month*pocket hurts*.

When nursing became a hit course, I mean almost everybody is taking it (even doctors) because nursing care is said to be the most in demand in other countries, many of my friends also took a second course on Nursing. Schools offering BS Nursing are growing like mushrooms. They’re almost everywhere! Then one of my HS classmate who is so business-minded thought of opening a business in our hometown to cater the growing needs of medical equipments and nursing kits that the students needed for their studies. Well, if that business would have pushed through, she would have made a lot of money because we are far from the city where there could be a lot of medical supply stores and even online stores such as allegromedical[dot]com. Allegro is a leading online store in the US offering almost fifty-five thousand products from varied categories that includes life enhancing products, exercise & fitness equipment, nutritional dietary supplements, maternity/baby supplies and outdoor gear. Hence even the smallest product such as syringe needles can be bought from the online store. This could have been a big help for everybody because it seems allegromedical[dot]com became a one-sto-shop for almost all health needs.
