Weekend Snapshot: A day in Philippine Eagle Center

Posted at 1:20 pm under Adventures, Weekend Snapshot

A very long day yesterday. I and Ace had an early morning trip to the beach to take photo of the sunrise and had a short swim while the water was still therapeutic. We attended the Sunday worship service, had lunch and went to Philippine Eagle Center. The first photo I took is the photo of a creek with so cool and clear water. I and Ace took turns in taking photos of anything we find interesting in around the park. It’s the first time Ace seen a real life Philippine Eagle (Monkey-eating Eagle) because what he saw before is the preserved body of Diola. He was so amazed at the first sets of eagle he saw and I told him “you will be more amazed at how big the Monkey-eating Eagles are. If they spread their wings, it’s wider than my arms stretched out.” Hence, he waited for Pag-Asa to spread its wings but he waited for nothing. Seems Pag-Asa is not in the mood. So did other Monkey-eating Eagles. But He was more interested on Pag-Asa because I was telling him Pag-Asa is the first Philippine Eagle hatched in captivity thru artificial insemination. See, artificial insemanation are not only fot humans. The second photo is taken another Philippine Eagle as if showing off to the visitors. It never get tired of flying around the cage not like the others.
