Getting a haircut is not a regular thing for me to do. I just have my hair done when I am in the mood to go to the salon. Lately, I noticed my hair is growing faster than before so I went to Hair Studio in SM City late last month. I’ve been in that salon more than a couple of times but I failed to note who is my hairdresser during those times so the lady at the reception assigned somebody to do my hair.
After a lady washed my hair, I was ushered to a seat. Then a few minutes later, a gay hairdresser (based on the receipt, he is Nilo) approached and asked how would I want to cut my hair, straight or not? I told him I only want a trim of my layered cut to a desired length to remove the fly-away ends and retain its body. I am not wearing one-length hair for years and I already forgot how do I look with a with it so I still preferred my layered cut.
He combed my hair, got his scissors, cut my hair as fast as he can and in less than five minutes he’s done! That fast?! He told me it’s done and walked away. What on earth…?! When I stood from my seat and walked to the cashier, Ace was surprised to see me. He wasn’t bored sitting there yet and I am done? I was not satisfied with the cut, much more the service of the hairdresser. And when I paid the cashier, he’s there as if waiting for a tip. Lucky him I am in good mood that time so I gave him fifty pesos. He said “thank you” without even smiling and looking at me. Now I need another trim since last month’s trim was not short enough to last me more than a quarter before another visit to the salon. The ends are flying away and I so loathe it. Now I am undecided if I should go back to Hair Studio or not. If I’ll have my hair trimmed there, I will surely demand the receptionist to give me other hairdresser, and not NILO. I need a good hairdresser.
I don’t know what’s wrong with the hairdresser. He must be not in the mood that time, or he wanted to work fast so he can have as many clients as he can. His pace is not really an issue if only he did very good with my hair. One thing is for sure. He is not a product of Regency Beauty Institute because he failed my expectations.LOL. Skill-wise and service-wise, he’s not really a good hairdresser at least for me. A simple trim wasn’t done well. How much more a stylish haircut? If ever I’ll go back to that Salon, I’ll ask the receptionist to give me other hairdresser but not Nilo. My one hundred fifty pesos is not worth his service. If only the management can read this, please take note of my observation with one of your hairdressers. Better yet, send him to Regency Beauty Institute to learn more and develop his skills.
