Planning for a makeover
It’s not me…but should I change theme again? I am contemplating on that thing for days now and I am still thinking to change or not. For the entire lifespan of this site, I have changed themes a number of times. When I used this current theme, I thought I would stick to it for long but I noticed loading the pages is slow. Actually, it’s not only me but others (or should I say all) have the same experience when opening this site. At first I thought it was because of the widgets in the sidebar. I refrained from putting buttons, banners, etc in the sidebars thinking loading will become faster but still, it takes almost a minute or more for the page to be totally loaded.
I started to browse in my Wordpress theme directory for something I would want to replace with the current theme but I could not find my type. I have some downloaded themes in my file but I cannot upload it in my admin panel through FTP. Guess it’s the nth attempt connecting to my admin files through FTP but I am always prompted “the username or password is incorrect”. How come it is incorrect when I didn’t changed username and password? I cannot actually change my log-in details in my FTP account for this domain because I don’t have access to the control panel of the hosting account. That’s the mystery that is yet to be resolved and I hope I could find out WHY soon so I could work on changing my theme. Carol is actually planning to change theme the other week but with the same case as mine, I cannot upload her chosen themes to her admin files.
For the mean time I should use a theme that’s in my gallery (because I don’t have a choice). Hence, I will go over and try each theme again to see if it loads fast or not. Swear, choosing the right theme is like choosing the right car insurance from among the insurance providers wherein you have to choose what fits for your needs and wants.
