In my screen it reads….WORDPRESS 2.5.1 IS AVAILABLE! PLEASE UPDATE NOW. Is this for real? What are its new features? Will it address the problem wordpress users encountered with the sidebars? Though Wordpress 2.5’s dashboard looks good, it took me some time to accept that my favorite theme is gone just because I cannot configure the sidebars so I resorted to Bali Flowers. In fairness, many appreciated my new theme and I’m beginning to love it. See, I only need assurance that my theme looks good*LOL*. Sidebars are really BIG THING for me. Currently, I cannot edit my sidebars….meaning I cannot add or remove widgets from it. What you are seeing in my sidebar is not my own will….I have no choice but it will really appear. The SAVE CHANGES button does not appear so I don’t have any way to save the changes I made. Have tried different themes but it’s all the same. This means, I don’t have full control over my sidebars and it’s making me sick and tired of it. Anyway, I hope this new version will bring back the functionality of the sidebars. Will check first what this new version offers and if it will address my problem with the sidebar, will surely upgrade. Wish me LUCK (again!).

My sidebars were screwed up as well, besides many other things, but after much googling I found out how to remove the widgets at least (the drag and drop doesn’t work):
You must click “edit” on the widget then click “remove,” then click “save changes.
Hope it helps.
