Ace is sick and he lost his appetite. I found it hard to feed him because he’s not eating a lot. The food tastes balnd for him. For almost two days of no proper eating, I noticed he lost weight. That easy? Gaining weight for him takes a lot of time and now losing what he gained is so quick. I want Ace to gain weight so he won’t be that skinny but not to the point that he would need fat burners for men. Just additional mass on his body is enough so he won’t look like he’s being on a diet always.
For lunch he requested for a fried dried fish. Thanks goodness he ate more than what he’s been taking since yesterday. Hope his appetite will be back to normal and he will be well soon because we’ll be attending a wedding tomorrow. We both don’t wanna miss that big event!

KiawKiaw (like any other cat I suppose), loves snuggling. He’s also a lap cat that he just climbs up and sleep on the lap of anybody seated in front of the computer (feeling close!LOL) or even when I or Ace are eating (bad!).
Aside from being a lap cat, KiawKiaw loves taking his nap beside us…beside Ace most especially.

or even on top of Ace’ chest!LOL

even with his awkward sleep position we call “feet up”

or finds comfort in between Ace’ legs (just below the butt actually)

Isn’t he so cute? I find it annoying sometimes especially if I am in deep slumber and he’s snuggling under the comforter with me. When he wakes up, he would wake me up to open the door for him to go out of the room.

I was visually comparing the barcode scanners and the receipt printers of the two supermarkets that we frequent based on their tape receipts the other day when Ace called from work telling me that he got the wrong work uniform. He was not in uniform the day before so maybe he was thinking Tuesday is brown day, not blue. He has two colors of polo shirt that he wears alternately from Monday to Saturday that until now I cannot just instantly say today is brown without silently counting the days starting from Saturday (Saturday is a blue day – that’s the only day that I memorize by heart.*lol*). So when I saw him in brown polo shirt, I didn’t mind. All the while I thought he’s wearing the right color that he only realized it should be a Blue day when he got to the office and everybody is wearing their blue uniforms! So from now on, I will arrange his uniforms alternately in the cabinet so he will not be lost (like me).

Ace got this Starbucks tumbler as a birthday gift from Borski and Nai. Thanks to his generous sister and BIL!

Ohhh…I’ve been silent here for days.*pout*. It’s not that I have nothing to share but work just kept me busy and made me crazy! Anyway, before another busy week at work starts, I think I SHOULD update this blog.
Last week was pretty fine. Ace started going to the office with his second wife. Oh, I haven’t blogged about it here. If you’re curious, just check out my other blog. He hasn’t driven for years and the first time I rode in a road bike with him was in Dumaguete City. It was unforgettable because we were almost hit by a car. With that experience, my impression that Ace will have a tendency to be an offensive driver lingered for years. So when I first rode with him, I kept on reminding him not to overspeed. My eyes were stuck in the speedometer and when it reaches 40, I prod him to slow down.LOL. I am just so paranoid of motorcycle accidents. So every time he leaves for work, I remind him to drive SLOWLY.
On Friday night, we (together with Donald, Carol and the kids) visited DadMa (Ace’ parents) in their apartment. It’s almost a 30-minute ride from here and the first time that Ace drove to that route. So far, so good. Again, my eyes are stuck in the speedometer and reading it aloud!LOL. I bet Ace won’t let me ride with him next time.hahaha.
On Saturday, it’s payout. The biggest payout so far so I was able to pay my balance for my Coach Heritage Satchel bag. I just can’t wait to receive the parcel and use the bag! Thanks Faye! You’re one great seller. My other loots are yet to come.
I and Ace went to SM for grocery shopping. I planned to buy something for the kitchen but ended buying 3 12×18 photo frames for the prints that I ordered from Artscow. So our bare wall turned to a beauty. Ace was amazed how those prints (the photos that I took more than a year ago) look so gorgeous on those frames. He said he didn’t appreciate those prints until he saw it on frames. I still need another 3 frames and I hope to get those on payday. Ace is now encouraging me to order more prints and turn our walls to a photo gallery.LOL.
Yesterday, I woke up late. We’re supposed to attend worship service but I slept almost 4AM (that I kept tossing in bed) so I woke up late. Thanks, anyway that I was able to have a straight 6 hours of sleep. Breakfast is already prepared when I get out of bed. Isn’t that the sweetest? Yay! (Life’s Lesson: serve your husband and he’ll be willing to serve you without you asking for it). Gets? After that late breakfast I am planning to rearrange the living and dining area but I first organized the kitchen stuffs in the divider and cupboard (and I am not yet done!). I’ll find time to finish it soon. While I was rearranging things, Ace is also busy giving his second wife a shower using his new garden hose complete with nozzle and all that we bought last Saturday. Talk about buying stuffs for his new love!LOL. Carol, Donald and the kids went down to have dinner with us and Ace bought a Red Ribbon Smores cake for our dessert. It was actually late dinner. He texted DadMa hoping they’re still in VP but they’ve gone home. We’ll better plan early next time.
We turned in early (at past 11PM) and it took me a while to finally doze off. But after barely two hours of sleep, I am awake*sigh* and couldn’t go back to sleep so I turned the laptop on and update my blogs. Now it’s half past 4AM and I am not yet sleepy. My bad! I have a long day ahead and yet I am still awake and never had enough rest. Good luck to me!

This is an overdue post. Blame it to my laziness and the crawling internet connection that took years uploading all photos to flickr.
Ace has never been to the country’s capital so when MIL phoned me more than three months ago informing me of Cebu Pacific Airfare promo, I didn’t have second thoughts so MIL booked us online using her CC. Thanks, Ma! Three months after the day that Ace have been waiting for has come. He is more than excited to set foot in Mega Manila and see before his bare eyes everything that he has only seen in TV and experience what it’s like to be in this place.
November 27 was our scheduled flight to Manila. So our adventure starts here…
Ace at the passenger lounge of the Davao International Airport while waiting for our flight

Upon check-in, I forgot to tell the attendant to give us starboard, window side seat but gladly, it was where we were seated. Thus I was able to get this aerial shot of Davao City

and enjoy the beautiful scenery from above

with clouds at my eye-level…can I touch it?

After one hour and fifity-five minutes (Ace become so impatient for that long flight. For him it was the longest!), this was what he saw from the aircraft’s window and he was beyond thrilled!

Especially when he saw this…..the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3

From the aircraft to the arrival area was a very long walk but we didn’t mind.

Not long after we have gone out of the baggage carousel area, Nai (Ace’ sister’s hubby) arrived. Before I forget, we invited Borski and Nai to join us in our getaway. Since Nai is reporting at their office in Fort Bonifacio Global City for quite sometime now, it’s only Borski who will fly from Dumaguete. So we waited for another hour for Borski to arrive.

But we have to go out because NAIA Terminal 3’s aircon is so cold and Ace was already chilling. Oh, he was nursing a fever the day before we left. And here’s what greeted him outside….

…outside arrival area…and Ace was saying “I can’t believe I’m breathing in Manila’s air”LOL

After almost an hour, Borski texted their plane just landed so we went back inside the super cold arrival area.
Here’s the funny part. While submitting ourselves and belongings for inspection, Ace forgot to take off his belt and the lady guard was almost touching his sides when he remembered his belt, backed off and blurted “TIME SA!” (Tag-Lish: wait lang; English: for a while/wait).LOL. The guard must have understood it and she giggled. Well, he’s not used to speaking our “Salitang ugat” (as what Nai call it) and unconsciously talks with his native tongue.

and before we headed to Nai’s place (we didn’t know they have a house in Las Piñas not until around 1 month before the scheduled trip so it was a blessing that we won’t be spending for our accommodation), we went up to the 3rd level of the terminal (Departure Area) where we will ride a taxi (because plug down rate at the arrival area is way too expensive than the rate at the departure area).
Here’s Ace at the Departure Area while waiting for Borski and Nai who rebooked Borski’s flight back to Dumaguete.

After a long ride to Nai’s place, we had dinner, cathed up for a while and called it a night for tomorrow’s gonna be a very long day.
P.S.
After doing this post, I realized Ace is the main character. Where am I in the picture? It’s as if I am a mother documenting her son’s first trip!LOL

He is envious. I cannot find the right word to describe Ace’ feeling but I could tell he is envious looking at the photos of one of my HS classmate taken during his shooting session. It was his longtime desire to hold a gun and try target shooting since he met a colleague years back that is into target shooting and is making his name in that field. I know he is interested. But knowing Ace, he gets too interested on one thing and shifts to another in no time (that is driving me nuts) so I don’t take that interest in guns too seriously. I know he will get over that desire to engage in target shooting soon.
If I were Ace, I would consider airsoft over target shooting for they can’t simulate a real battle in target shooting.hahaha. What’s always in front of you is the makeshift target while with airsoft, you play with true human beings and not the boards. Hence, if I were to choose between a real gun and an aeg airsoft rifle, I would choose the latter.
For airsoft fanatics, you can find airsoft guns at ZephyrAirsoft.com for they carry a number of different kinds of guns with free shipping. Yes, you read it right, free shipping! So hurry and grab that opportunity. I will just take the back seat and watch you play.

There’s a subtle convincing on Ace’ part about the surplus Honda cars coming from Japan. I agree it is a great deal considering that it is complete with car accessories. Who wants it? Leave a comment and I will PM you the price. Though it is nifty, I have issues with it and so does Ace. The car is a right-hand drive! Ace said it could be converted but I am not amenable with it. I would prefer the ones manufactured to be left-hand drive for there might be issues during conversion. Besides, it would be another cash out when it will be converted to left-hand drive so better get the ones suited for our streets.
