Businesses are going online

Internet marketing is now the “in” thing in businesses. One can buy almost everything using the internet! That’s how powerful internet is…and the online buying power of people is too high! Online businesses ranging from the backyard-type to the multinational corporations are very visible in the online world with the help of social media and internet marketing. However, when buying online, one needs to do his or her own research about the product. One cannot see nor hold the product personally. So the decision in getting an item or services depends on the reviews of other customers, the product descriptions available, and any other type of information available.

As a marketing writer for one company, it is very important for us to think of strategies to bring the business to the next level. Our research team must be very diligent in finding our target markets and reach them at the right time. A survey software is needed at some point so we can conduct an online survey to know the concensus of the public with regards to our products. That way, we can use the survey result to think of effective online campaigns. This is really helpful when we talk about online business…since we have no choice now but to go with the flow – businesses are now going online!

Ten years ago, it never occurred to me that I will be breathing the internet after I got married. I always see myself wearing that black pumps and office uniform as I always dream to be in the corporate world. But priorities changed, and I decided to work from home. Working from home nowadays is either having a homebased business or working online, of which I chose the latter. I am not adept in using the computer and internet – I just know the basics – but it was never a hindrance to gracefully embrace the online world. So I had my first blog that I set up on my own – and the rest is history.

For the first few months of finding resources online, search engine is my best friend. Any query about something, I usually find the answers from search engines. It was my helpful tool in discovering more of the online world. Not to mention that when I hear about new products, I search for it in Google! It was also my shopping “assistant” as I used to search for reviews, the specifications, and even pricing of the things that I wanted to buy online or from the stores.

Because the internet is so vast and almost everything is already found online, sometimes it takes time before you will find what you are really looking for. Now there’s a new tailored search toolbar called Zugo – and I think it’s great. Zugo is said to help increase brand recognition and market penetration because it provides a highly customized search products. I guess I wanted to give this a try later.
