Another motto that I and Ace are living with now is “there’s a time for everything”. You see, we aren’t into saving much this time because we are still in the stage of personal gratification aside from our monthly financial obligations. I was concerned about this one time so I told him (in a worried manner) “we aren’t saving” and he immediately replied “there’s a time for that. For now let’s just enjoy the fruit of our labor”. Exactly! Let’s enjoy life! Coming from my husband’s mouth who is such as worrier for the future? He must have changed his paradigm. That made me think, it’s ok to shop!LOL. We are taking turns in spoiling each other and we both love it! Hence, there’s always time for everything.

Stock trading got my interest. But until now I can’t find time or should I say I don’t find time to sit down and learn the tricks of online trading. It must be a nice investment but I know it’s not rocket science and the fact that I will be “playing” with money, I must be sure that I know the technicalities before jumping into it.

However, investing and making money out of the investment is not only in stock trading for there are other means like investing in gold. I am contemplating of a nice business to help support in our daily needs should I get tired of working online and blogging. Or, it could be a good business that I can do at home. Aside from the online store of goods from the US (which I and Ate Eunice have planned), what interests me is making Durian goodies. I am not so impressed with the packaging of our existing Durian delicacies here in Davao. It is far different how other places pack their delicacies. It’s world-class! I was so impressed with the packaging of the Pili Nuts from Bicol Region, the Peanut Kisses of Bohol, the Pastel of Camiguin, the Dried Mangoes of Cebu, and other provinces. So if I make my own Durian goodies, the big difference from the existing brands is the packaging. Of course the taste will always be the same. I can make it taste like Lola Abon’s, I assure myself!hahaha. Oh well, that’s a long way to go. Before my Durian candies will be known, I have to have a name first. So a brand name is needed to apply for a business permit. And getting a business permit requires a lot of effort, a lot of documents, etc. that I may need the services of a bookkeeper or a CPA firm like the Kondler CPA to take care of everything. That if I wanted a hassle-free processing. Oh, my bad! Kondler is a Las Vegas cpa firm so it’s impossible for me to get their services. People have different preference when it comes to investment. It depends on each other’s experiences and belief, I guess. Many are putting money in developing farm lots like my Daddy’s older brother. He used to buy land and plant it with mango trees. When the trees are on its fruit-bearing stage, he would then sell it. Since the farm is developed and the mangoes are already profitable, market value is really high so he earns a lot from it. That kind of business needs a lot of money so if I were to invest my money (which I don’t have now*lol*), I would go for something that isn’t tiring, or doesn’t need much of my attention like buying gold coins. Been considering of ways to invest your money for additional income? I really do and I am considering stock trading. My HS friend and his wife are doing it for quite sometime now and they said it’s a good source of additional income. Stocks is also a good investment. When I was still a kid I was always fascinated at the vending machines that I see in TV or in movies (because there’s no vending machines in the province). I thought that was cool! DATE (Davao Trade Expo) is nearing (though I don’t know when exactly it will be) but I already saw posters about the upcoming event. It is a yearly event but never did I had the chance attending one. I really wanted to go even before (ever since I am still working with Macondray) but the nature of my job doesn’t require me to be there so I always missed the opportunity of attending the expo.

During Macondray days, I would know DATE is a few days to go because I could see my training classmate who was assigned in Sales and Marketing Dept. prepare for the event such that she would pull out the tarp standies of the company’s products and prepare the cardboard display for the product descriptions. It is indeed very convenient for her to prepare everything for she doesn’t need heavy display boards where to set-up the products.  Hope I could find time to visit this year’s expo.

Seriously I’ve been thinking of venturing into online stock trading as an additional or alternative source of income because we don’t know till when we will be working with our fulltime jobs or with my blogging.
