We are baby-less until this time. Yet we have bunch of “babies” under our care and with our expenses on their dog food and cat food weekly, seems like we are buying a big can of expensive formula milk. The dogs have Alpo while the cat have Whiskas (in can) and with how BIG they eat, we are spending so much on their food. Not that I am complaining. I am even thankful that we have the resources to buy our babies’ foods.
Anyway, here’s our babies….
Meet the prim and proper Maya (second generation of our original dog named Maya). She was given to Ace (from the troop of dogs that my folks have in my hometown) in January 2004. She was 4 months then, I think.

Then here’s super brave Puto. He is half stray dog and half I don’t know. Japanese Spitz maybe. He was given to Ace April of 2005 March of 2006.

Those two dogs were sent here to Davao and given to Ace because my late Mamang (yes, she’s the one who sent those dogs here) sees a “brighter future” for these dogs under our care. Since these dogs are stray, they aren’t that given much care and attention from where they came from especially that there are battalion of dogs in my grandparents’ place.
After more than couple of years of trying, Maya finally conceived last year and bore 5 pups for the first time but only one survived and we called him Thirdie (the 3rd generation of Maya). Thirdie got his built from Puto and coat from Maya.

So those are our dogs and we still have one pet. A stray orange tabby cat we named KiawKiaw. We found KiawKiaw in the street January of 2007 and invited himself to be adopted.LOL. This cat is a big eater of his cat food and he seems not to get enough. Always asking for food!

That’s our troop of “babies”. I wonder how long will they stay with us. I just hope they’ll be with us until they grow old.
Will we be given with the same number of real babies soon? If yes, then we would probably need bunch of life insurance quotes at Wholesale prices and save for that thing. Since we’re still waiting for that time, then we will just enjoy the company of our pets.

Thirdie turned one month
Thirdie turned one month old last Nov. 12 and we celebrated this special day with a Dulce de Leche cake roll from Goldilocks.
Now we have additional reason to buy cake often and that is to celebrate the monthly birthday of our cute little puppy – Thirdie!

I’ve been waiting for my sister Carol to post a photo of Ella’s pet dog so I could also post the dog’s photo I took when they visited us here with Miyaki in tow. Isn’t she cute?

It’s been a while since I last posted Kiaw-Kiaw’s photo here so might as well post this phot taken the other month. We just woke up from a long nap that afternoon when I took this photo. I like this photo a lot because he seemed to be out of his mind yet.*lol*

After taking photos of the dogs during their first day here in the apartment, I saw Kiaw-Kiaw in this position when I went inside the house. Hmmm…he must be thinking about something or must be sad that he will not get all our attention now that the dogs are here.

We went on island hopping yesterday and this is one of the creatures we have seen in the beach where we had lunch. I think this belongs to the family of Sea Urchins (not so sure). Read more… »

I heard stories about OWLs during my childhood days but has never seen one in person until I was in 3rd year high school during the National Science Youth Camp in University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna (UPLB). The next owl encounter was in Davao Crocodile Park two years ago but has never taken a photo of that nocturnal bird. I say cute because I love its rounded eyes. The last time we were at the park, I made sure I could take a photo of the owl so here it is as my critter entry. Read more… »

This is the talking Myna in Davao Crocodile Park. We were at the park last Wednesday. Ace didn’t report for duty because it’s MIL’s birthday and we are planning to treat PILs in a buffet lunch. They wanted to have dinner instead so I, Ace, Carol, Donald and Ella went to Crododile Park after we had lunch at Blue Carabao. Read more… »
