Blog makeover soon!

This blog is wearing its theme for two years, I guess. It took me almost a day just working on the header and figuring out how the image will appear exactly where it should be now. It wasn’t that easy that I swore I won’t attempt to customize my other blogs because it is time consuming. That’s why all my blogs looks BORING!

Aside from customizing the theme of my digiscrapping blog, and paying someone to make a blog makeover of my other personal blog, I didn’t dare try to give myself a headache by personalizing ALL the themes of my blog. Instead of customizing all my blogs, I used my free time making digiscrapping layouts.

One blogger friend asked if I could redesign her blog header for a fee. Since it is my first time and I felt honored to be tasked to do something that I myself wouldn’t trust to others, I told her I will be doing it for free. She’s a good friend, anyway so I am just returning a favor. Glad Mommy Rubz liked her new header and bragged about it in the blogging groups that we are members of. Now I am receiving inquiries how much will I charge to make a header. I have no idea, actually. I heard one Mommy blogger is charging $5 for a header and others are more expensive. Still have to consider this thing because most of my digital scrapbooking supplies are for personal use. I need to buy supplies that are OK for scrap-for-hire and not only for personal use. I have to learn the tricks of costing so I could prepare a quote.

Anyway, after that blog header makeover, I am inspired to customize all the themes of my blogs. I know I can. I just need ample time. Maybe a year or two, I’d be done with it.LOL.

Personalized desktop wallpaper is in my list of “projects” but I don’t know WHEN I can do it. Next month, a month after next, or next year perhaps!? Thanks goodness for FREEBIES, especially coming from Fei-Fei’s Stuff Design.

I am loving photoshop CS3 more than ever! Not to edit photos but to do my scrapbook layouts! Yes, I’ve been addicted to digital scrapbooking lately. The hobby that started three years ago and then suddenly put it aside when I became disappointed with the outcome of my layouts. Last year I went back to scrapping as I am inspired by the gorgeous layouts of new found friends who are into digital scrapbooking. Now I am taking it seriously.

Looking back, I learned digital scrapbooking with the help of a video tutorial in youtube. I was at a lost for months because I wanted to scrap and yet don’t know where to start. I asked a fellow blogger HOW TO SCRAP and she said I should watch a tutorial in youtube since teaching me to do it online is impossible to do. Anyway, after that first video tutorial, I tried to make a layout and it took me a day to finish one! Such a waste of time for me. I was thinking of giving up but I still hoard free digital scrapbook kits and other stuff.

Later on, I found a reading material in PDF format. According to the pdf page counter, it’s more than 100 pages! Shemay! I actually saved that material but wasn’t able to print it until I totally lost it because the hard drive where I saved it is corrupted. Now I can’t locate the file so what I do lately is read for tips and techniques online. Thanks to Mr. Google for providing answers to every question I have in mind about digital scrapbooking. Also, thanks to digiscrapper friends who also share their inputs.
