75th Araw ng Dabaw Street Parade

We prepared early to watch the street parade for the 75th Araw ng Dabaw last month. Due to some reasons, we were late and to make matters worst, it rained! I think the parade is already half-way through when we arrived. But then Ella and I enjoyed standing the street with just a small umbrella.

Ella had a great time posing in front of the camera. It’s rare that she wanted her photo to be taken especially in public. We stayed on the street for more or less 2 hours and I am just glad the parade finally ended!

Volkswagen (bettles)

There was a number of these Volkswagen Bettle during the Araw ng Dabaw street parade. I didn’t know there is a certain association for car owners here in Davao such as pick-up owners, box-type owners, and this Volkswagen bettle that Ella had a hard time counting each car that pass by in front of us. That certain contingent must be the target of different auto insurance companies in the city. Why not? They could get possible clients from the organization members. And by word of mouth, they could get more clients if the insurance companies’ services is great!

Family Day

Been meaning to post this for so long. Finally, I found it in my flickr stream while browsing for photos to print. Ella (my brilliant niece who got her genes from her bright tita.LOL) drew this and even titled it FAMILY DAY. Where did she got the idea of Family Day?

Family Day to her is being complete as a family with balloons for her and Eman. What a cutie!

One peso coins

Finally, I was able to convince my niece (Ella) to close her facebook because I need to work on one of my pending tasks which is to check for DNA testing centers around here. After her afternoon nap, she immediately sit in front of the desktop and checked her restaurant in Restaurant City. Now I need to sweet talk to her so she may get up and turnover the seat to me. Glad she gave in after telling her I will be preparing dinner later hence she can use the PC. Aside from the condition that she can use the PC later, she easily got what she wanted. She asked for money to buy something she could eat at the nearby store and when I gave her 10 1 peso coins, she said it cannot buy a fudgee bar so I end up giving her my 50 peso bill. She really thinks a one peso coin cannot buy something that when she will ask for money, she wanted the 5 or 10 peso coins.

Back to the DNA testing that I mentioned earlier, after searching through the net I found DNA Diagnostics Center. So far, not many centers over here are going online hence it would be hard to find them on the net. Here’s hoping local centers and service providers or other businesses would go online so we could easily find them, instead of looking through the telephone directory’s yellow pages.
