Three of my HS classmates are now medical doctors in different fields and working in different hospitals now. When we gather together, I don’t remember them citing about the cases of their patients and when they are asked about something, their mouth is zipped. I admire their professionalism for keeping medical information of their patients private.

However, physicians also need to confer with other doctors who are handling or who have patients with similar cases as others. BUT the manner of communicating with others or seeking referrals should be with utmost secrecy. It can’t just be done with email exchanges, phone calls, and other means of communication especially if one doesn’t know the physician. Thanks to Doximity that stores a comprehensive database of physicians, their specializations, trainings, and other records. So if one is looking for a particular physician like Craig Peterson MD, Dr. Peterson’s profile will be readily available. With Proximity, it would be a lot easier for other physicians to confer or find other physicians in other places.

Jonas Band

Grabbed from our HS class’ FB group.

FC 35 guys in base and lead guitars.

I was looking for the photo of the guys after our graduation while playing HULING EL BIMBO of the Eraserheads but I can’t find it. I think I have it in my friendster account before. Since friendster is gone, so are the photos uploaded in that account. Bummer!

So anyway, the two guys on guitar are my HS classmates while the one in vocals is from another section but we consider him our “adopted” guy in the class together with 3 others, two of them are now in heaven (bless their soul).

Those two guy friends in guitar and two others who are not in the photo have their own instruments now including the drummer who is also our “adopted” classmate. I am not sure though if it’s hohner acoustic guitars but they did sure invested in nice brand of guitar that they are using once in a while in their jamming sessions and they call themselves JONAS band. I wish one of these days they’ll be complete, have a band session and play our class’ favorite songs. It must be great singing and dancing along with them!

Letter from a friend

We’re cleaning the other room (which is supposed to be my home office but was converted to a stockroom). Ace’ works in that room while I am working in the living area. We’re planning to make use of the room as our home office so I need to clean up and transfer my desk there.

I was sorting through the boxes of files, documents and books when Ace saw this…

A letter from a friend 9 years ago.

It’s a letter from a longtime friend (a classmate in Elementary and HS). It’s a letter a friend sent via snail mail some nine years ago. That’s how we communicate during our college and after college years (before cellphones, emails and social networking sites dominated the world and became the means of communication). It’s a super long letter about her lovelife. Oh…that’s our favorite topic back then. Talking about cute guys and being so “kilig” or talking about heartaches. Back then, I shuddered in delight while reading every word in the letter as she was relaying how and where she and her first boyfriend (now her husband) met. It’s not through free online dating but circumstances really worked for both of them to meet in an unfortunate situation…and the rest is history.

When I posted this IG photo in FB, that friend was really surprised to know that I still have that letter. You see, I can keep things for long!LOL. That letter was put back to my box and I am not planning to throw the letter. Never. I will keep it as long as I could because it means so much to me – not the content of the letter but more on the thought that a friend took time to write a long letter to me sharing her experiences is something that I cherish.
