Back online

So we’re back from the weekend trip to my best friend’s place in GenSan. We’re back since Monday night but I am still on vacation mode. It’s really hard to get back to work mode since I had a four-day break away from the computer. We brought my laptop but I haven’t used it. The laptop wasn’t even pulled out from Ace’ bag. Surprisingly, I didn’t miss being online for days. I didn’t miss my blogs, twitter, and of course facebook! It feels good though but it’s good to be back to work because we need moolah to pay the bills.

During the four-day stay in GenSan, we literally pigged out. From Mia’s (my best friend’s daughter) birthday last Friday, to our trip in Lake Sebu last Sunday, until Monday – I ate a lot! I’m afraid I might need the best diet pills to shed those that I gained from the pig out but I had to drink laxative tea for the meantime. I need to get rid of the food particles left in my colon first because I feel so bloated!

Still single

FACT: lots HS classmates are still single. We’re already past the calendar figure and no wedding plans yet? The case is the same with my cousin who is the same age as mine. I don’t know what’s “wrong” with our batch. Younger batch have their own families already and have kiddos that are bigger than the kids of our batch. Most of us got married in our late twenties and some even on their thirties hence the kids are so young.

For those single friends, I can’t wait to receive wedding invitations from you! If it’s not soon, then in the years to come. Better wait for our kiddo to be the flower girl or bearer during the ceremony.LOL.

Baby concerns

A cousin-in-law just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Yay! Talking about pregnancy and giving birth reminds me of the two former colleagues who were advised to bed rest for the whole duration of their pregnancy. What a hassle for them and for their family, plus they were not able to work for months!

One of them told me she doesn’t care about the gender anymore as long as the baby is normal. It’s her first baby so I could just imagine the stress and the feeling of being afraid for the health and complete development of the baby due to her condition during pregnancy. I am glad her being on bed rest didn’t lead to depression.

Anyway, to make the story short, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl! She and her husband were so relieved that despite of the medicines she took, the baby is spared from birth defects caused by some antidepressant medicines.

There are a number of victims who filed a Lexapro lawsuit against a drug manufacturer. I am glad I haven’t heard any of my family or friends  filing the same case. Hope there won’t be any.
