It’s a body’s natural reaction to go into stress mode when an emergency strikes– unfortunately, however, that stress can make it nearly impossible to keep a level head in an emergency. Stress-related anxiety and insomnia make our already dire circumstances seem even worse, making it difficult to make quick decisions or cope with the current crisis. When an emergency strikes, it’s doubly important to try to alleviate as much stress as possible.

Sickie in the house

Exactly five days of feeling under the weather. I was hit by a virus and woke up feverish and with sore throat last Sunday. As expected, the sore throat ended up to me cough and colds. My head is occasionally aching so I chose to stay away from the computer for three days.

I don’t get sick as frequently. I only have cough and colds twice a year at most. But once I am ill, even with the cough and colds, my whole system is down. Which means, even with just upper respiratory infection, my whole body is sick so I usually end up in bed – feeling helpless. I can’t watch TV for long or work in front of my laptop because my eyes will hurt and eventually result to a headache. My whole body will then suffer from muscle pains.

Thanks to Ace for taking care of me and taking charge of the kitchen. I am a bit well now and have to force myself do the laundry. It isn’t easy when I am sick. As Ace puts it, I seldom get sick but once I am ill, it’s SEVERE. I do hope I’d be well before the week ends so we could visit Eman and Ella soon. Also, I am itching to stroll at the mall so I need to be OK very very soon!

Lifetime battle

I came across Actos lawsuit and was reminded about my former colleague. I wonder how she is doing now. She is diabetic but doesn’t regularly take her maintenance tablets. It is quite expensive for her and she has two schooling kids to prioritize so she sets aside her needs including her insulin maintenance. She seemed to have no illness when we were still colleagues. She drinks coke as much as I do.haha. She’s not very particular with her diet and eats as much sweets as she can. She’s not minding about her health problem, huh? But then, she looks OK and have no health problem at all.

The last time we bumped into each other was a few months ago. She’s doing well, I assume but has to battle with her diabetes for the rest of her life.*sigh*
