Beading seminar

Aside from baking cakes and pastries, I wanted to learn beadworks. There was a 1-day seminar held in the city the other month and I missed it so I am looking forward to the next schedule. They conduct seminars-workshops in major cities of the country so I guess it will take time before they’d go back to Davao City and conduct another seminar. I am so interested with beadworks and jewelry design because it could be a fun sideline business in the future. I tried simple jewelry making years ago and it’s a fun thing to do…it’s a nice de-stressor so I wanted to learn from the experts to put this hobby into good use. Looking forward to attend the next seminar and work with different kinds of beads such as Base metal beads and others.

At one point I became a Philatelist and a coin collector – not a numismatics because I don’t study systematically study currency. I just collect coins of different currencies years ago. Then the hobby died a natural death. Worst is, I can’t remember where are the coins that I have collected over the years. Ace started collecting coins too. He got the coins from the purses that we sell in our thrift store some years back. But after moving from one place to another, he misplaced the coin purse where he kept the coins along the way.

It isn’t too late to start revive this hobby again. But I don’t know where to get coins now! I don’t want to buy, I wanted something that is given. So might ask friends based in different parts of the globe to send me some coins for my collection.

Photobook is one of my pending projects for the longest time. I realized I need such because I have tons of photos and printing it would cost me a lot not to mention the need to buy a high quality album.

After pushing this project aside for years, I finally broke a leg and started making digiscrap layout for the pages. I am not an expert in digiscrapping so this is a big challenge for me. But as I finish one page at a time, I felt happy and fulfilled..as I am learning new things everyday while putting all the photos together in one page.

Simple layouts but it took me so much time putting things together. How I wish I have extra moolah to buy templates now so that making photobook will be a lot easier. More pages next time!
