Been so busy offline lately. For two weeks in a row, we are always out running errands or supervising the ongoing house work in our soon-to-be home sweet home. My body had a hard time coping with my schedule because I can’t even take a quick afternoon nap. Hence, I felt so exhausted when we get home at night. Though tired and sleepy, I still have to keep up with work. Oh life!
Doing all the preparations and getting the house ready for our move is very stressful – physically and financially. It would have been easier if Primeland Properties, Inc. (PPI) – the developer of Residencia del Rio where we are supposed to get a housing unit – could refund the full amount we have paid for our equity. But since PPI has financial problem now (read: no funds), they can only afford to pay us back in installment terms, that is five thousand pesos weekly until they could give back the ninety thousand pesos that we have paid for our equity.
Looking forward to the day when we can finally say the house is ready to welcome us so I hope all the repairs could be done the soonest possible time.

So it’s final. We are buying the house where we will be moving in! Yay! Gone is my dream to own a new house, with a kitchen designed according to my preference. Forget about the dream of getting a larger than standard subdivision lot and having a good spot for it’s on the corner of a block.
After days of brainstorming, we finally decided to buy Yang2x’s house that she was selling for a couple of years now. At first she just offered us to stay there for free while it is not sold yet. Before we could move in, we have to make some repairs including removal of the floor tiles. Turned out, the men who worked on installing the tiles years ago didn’t do their job well. Hence, we have to remove everything and reinstall it.
Our hired foreman suggested why not rent-to-own the house instead? So I asked Yang2x for the payment terms. Because we’re close friends, she gave us a very flexible term. Days after thinking it over, shoot! Deal was closed. Hence we will exert all effort to renovate the flooring because it will soon be ours.
We have so many plans about the house but we will do it one at a time. For now the most important is to replace the tiles in the living room, dining area, and the kitchen. We hope to finish this project before we move in next week. Guess who’s more excited than me?! It’s Ace! Yes, he is really thrilled at the thought that in 2 years time (after we will be able to pay it in full), we will finally call it our OWN. Yay! Here’s praying for more resources to come!

There’s an ongoing two house renovations in the neighborhood. From the low-cost house – without any architectural details – they are transforming their abode to a big and beautiful houses.
One of the house owners said it was really tiring to have an ongoing renovation in the house. I can just imagine the mess that they have to deal with everyday while renovation is ongoing. But in the end I am sure it will be worth it! Worth the money, the hassle and the effort. Soon, they’ll be settled in their somewhat “new” house after a major renovation. And to complete the “look”, beautiful address plaques like this is necessary, at least for me.
