Not sure if I was able to mention about the FREE mouse pad that ArtsCow gave away early last month. I and Ace was able to avail of it but only mine made it here. Ace’ mouse pad was addressed in his workplace and the postman must have been lost or the mouse pad was lost.LOL

Anyway, here’s the free mouse pad that I got from ArtsCow. Yes, it’s 100% free! Ella must have been amazed when she first saw it under my lappy’s mouse and she showed it to Carol. Carol told her to put it back thinking that it was a photo print.hehe.

The mouse pad is so nice. Not the usual mouse pad that is too stiff. It’s soft and seems like made of pure soft rubber.

Love it! I hope ArtsCow will give away free mouse pads again or any deals of the day and I will definitely grab the opportunity. I’ve actually shared it to some FB friends but I don’t know if they were able to get theirs.

Before we decided to get a house, we were considering of getting a foreclosed house because it is way cheaper not only by thousands but hundred of thousands and even close to million. A friend suggested we should go to Pag-Ibig for the list of foreclosed properties but the location of those properties are not “conducive for living” with potable water coming from the Northern part of the city, the lot and floor area is too small, and not a very pleasant neighborhood. Lucky are those who were able to get a foreclosed house in a nice location like one of our wedding godparents. Others claim your luck of getting a foreclosed property with Pag-Ibig relies on your connection with anybody inside the institution. Must be true in some point. Since foreclosed property in this city is not for us, I’d better check some other sites like going over a site for Outer banks foreclosures. Maybe we’ll be lucky in this one or better to say this is for us.*lorl* Who knows, a truck load of money will be left at our doorstep and we’ll be able to afford outer banks properties.*dreaming*

Been meaning to post this last week but I got so hooked with other things. Now I don’t wanna let this day pass without bragging the photos in frames that are now temporarily hanging by our living room wall. I said temporary because we still need to rearrange it so the 6 frames would fit. For now, only these 3 are displayed so far.

Most of the photos are printed straight out of the camera because I am not fan of processed in photoshop landscape and seascape images (read: digitally enhancing the image’ colors) while the boatman was cropped to portrait orientation.

Ace said I should have put my watermark on the photos so people will know that I took those. Well, on the next prints, I will surely put my watermark.

The 12×18 prints I ordered from ArtsCow 2 months ago and been sitting here for weeks before we finally got it framed. The prints are free and I just paid for the shipping fee at around $8. Great steal, right? We got the frames from SM Homeworld for PhP250 each (more than $5). I love SM Homeworld’s frames and would definitely go back there for more (for our 8×10 portraits that I ordered end of last month). Can’t wait for those pictures to arrive from the mail!

I think I’m gonna be sick starting tomorrow. Psychosomatic? Sort of. I really need to be sick so I have a good reason to rest. I just don’t feel like I am at my best today. To-do list is getting longer and yet I am not in the mood to do even just one. What I really need now is a good reason to be in bed and rest, in which the only way to do it is to be sick. So I am conditioning myself that I’ll be sick starting tonight or tomorrow. Hope when I wake up I’ll have fever that will tuck me in bed for the rest of the days until I will feel I am totally fine. Speaking of getting sick, I should be checking for medical supplies now. Our first-aid kit isn’t complete that when we needed something we had to wait for tomorrow so we’ll be able to get it at the pharmacy. We need a complete kit not only for us but for the cat and dogs also. I’ve seen Kiaw-Kiaw’s face has a little cut and I can’t clean it because we run out of betadine. Gonna check what’s in store at JazzMedical.com that is known to be the biggest medical retailer in the US. As if I am in the US of A!LOL

The sky’s so dark yesterday afternoon and heavy rain is threatening to pour anytime. As I check on the dogs outside (to make sure that they won’t be drenched in case heavy rain will pour, I overheard the neighbors preparing their pails and rain barrels as catch basin for the rainwater. The neighbors are really preparing for the coming rain….and it rained..but just for a moment. I doubt if their pails and barrels were full.

Talking about rainwater, I remember my late Mamang who used to collect rainwater to be used in washing our white clothes. According to her, it is good for the whites as they will turn really white unlike when washing with the water from the faucet. Not only for the white clothes but rainwater is also good for washing the hair (as I heard from a friend) thus they have a rain barrel to collect rainwater during the rainy season.

Oh boy, I am so excited to have our own place! It’s not really big because we got the second to the smallest floor area but I think it’s bigger compared to the houses in other subdivisions. We’re planning to get the biggest for the low-cost design but we changed our minds because we want to be adjacent neighbors with my sister Carol. Since it is smaller, we can save something bigger for our plan to get a secondhand car. Crossing my fingers!

Everyday I am visualizing being in that soon-to-be home with all the things that I want to have in my own place where I would be the queen*lol*. I want wooden custom-made furnitures from our bedroom, living room, dining and kitchen. Then in my dream kitchen I want one of those copper sinks I saw online last night at coppersinkstore[dot]com. It’s too pricey but I know it’s worth the price. We won’t need to replace it after decades for I am pretty sure it is really durable and of high quality. It’s Saturday! Supposed to be doing the laundry today but I am postponing it for more important reason so the mattress that is scheduled for washing today will be dumped in the hamper until next week or when I would not be too busy with other things. Also, I need somebody to help me with it because it’s too heavy when wet as it absorbs water so much. The last time that I washed it, our househelp gave me a hand (yes, I did the laundry instead of her doing it). Now that we don’t have a househelp, hope Che2x will lift a finger to help me unload it from the washing machine (that’s the burden of having no dryer).

Now we’re back to normal. After 4 nights of sharing our bed with MIL (yes, we – MIL, I and Ace slept together in our bed), Ace is now enjoying his usual sleep position*lol*. Haven’t I blogged about it? Well, MIL stayed with us while FIL is on a business trip. Since we don’t have that much foam mattress (because the helper is using our spare) and my sister’s family is using the comforters that we have, we’ve got no choice but to share our bed with MIL. I don’t care about it, anyway we all slept soundly for nights. We could have removed the foam mattress on top of the spring bed and lay it on the floor but the latter is not that comfortable to sleep on so we better share the bed with MIL. Hope we could get extra foam mattress for our visitors next time.

When we bought my mid-back executive office chair the other month, Ace said I also need to buy either a computer or office table to matches my chair, and my working space to look better…conducive for working.hehehe. I prefer the latter because I need the table’s drawers to keep my files and some important documents. Also, I need a writing space that I can’t have with the computer table. Hence I was actually eyeing an office table at one of the malls. I am planning to get it last month but funds were diverted to other things so I would be waiting till next payday or if I could have extra from my blogging earnings. . It isn’t that costly actually but we have more important things to prioritize so my office table has taken the backseat for months. Now let’s see if I could be able to buy that office table from my blogging earnings next week. I do hope there’s still available stocks of that table that looks like a classroom furniture or a teachers desk (for that matter). I saw this desk online at hertzfurniture[dot]com and it looks almost the same as the table I am eyeing for.

Until now we’re still undecided what we’d do with the TV. Should we get a rack, a stand or an LCD mount? If we’d relocate the TV to our bedroom, we’d most probably need a wall mount to save space. Besides, it is more convenient to install the TV up high on the wall so we could watch while lying down in bed. Experts say TV is a no-no in a bedroom but having it in the room must be more convenient for Ace because he could not be disturbed from his sleep should he doze off while watching a program or movie. Anyway we’re not in a hurry for this so it could still wait a century.*lol*
