Our life, experiences, and lessons learned

When we first visited the house, the floor tiles are not in good form. Obviously, a result of poor work quality because installation wasn’t supervised by the owners. Since we cannot just move in with the tiles in bad form, we decided to replace it. Our foreman, knowing how much it will cost us for the reinstallation labor and materials, suggested why not buy the house. So after a few days, we decided to buy the house. Instead of removing the tiles and putting it back again, we decided to replace the floor tiles with our personal choice. We headed to one of the biggest hardwares in the city that carries home improvement products such as  travertine tiles. It wasn’t easy choosing which color and design to get! Seriously, we spent hours and hours deciding what to put in our living and dining area and in the kitchen. There are so many things to consider in choosing and finally we settled for a light-colored polished tiles for the living and dining area to make the area brighter than it used to be (because the original tiles are dark). Early bird

I’m an early bird! I used to be working early but lately, I can’t get up that early to work. Now I don’t have a choice because I wasn’t able to work the whole day yesterday. It seems so hard to be working when there are other people working around the house too. The repainting job is not done yet, and the landscapers are also doing their job. It’s so hard to focus when I need to check the landscaper’s work from time to time.

So before everybody arrives to continue their pending work, I have to work on my pending tasks so I can focus. And the only way to do it is to wake up early and do my tasks before everybody gets here in about an hour.

Gotta go and do the last pending assignment then start preparing for a long day ahead. Have a great weekend everyone!

Bad reception

I haven’t watched TV programs as much as I do before we moved. I miss my favorite segment in a noontime show for weeks already. I thought I could watch it after we have moved but the reception is not that clear. It’s a pain to be watching programs that aren’t that clear. Now we will be forced to subscribe to get a cable TV subscription. Love that idea so I could watch my home, food, and lifestyle channels that I have missed watching for more than a year now. Hope the cable provider is now on HD so it would be compatible with our TV. I heard about issues of analog cable between HD TVs before. It’s not an issue with digital receiver, but the cable itself is not compatible with the high definition TV.

Looking forward to watch my fave shows in the coming days!
