Hello from our HOME SWEET HOME! We moved in last Saturday but until now I haven’t took a photo of the house yet. Bummer! Like the previous moves, it wasn’t easy. But it was the quickest so far because we are lucky to have a battalion of “movers”. Before, I had the time of my life packing our things days before the move. This time, I didn’t have enough time to pack because Ace wanted me to watch over the ongoing works in the house during the day. Then I have to work at night. So how on earth I can decently pack our things?
Anyway, we are not settled yet. I am so tired to put things in place. There are painted areas that needs to be retouched. I wanted it to be done before putting things away. Hope to finish all the painting jobs, retouches and finishing touches in a day or two so I can start getting the house in order…and I can start taking photos too!

We need furnishings and fixtures for the new house but we will just settle with what we have now. Repairs and repainting is our top priority before moving to avoid hassle in moving things around to do repairs when we are already settled there.
For the most important kitchen stuffs, I asked a friend to buy it for me in the US to replace my mismatched dinnerware and cookware. While browsing the store, I saw a nice display cabinet and wine display for Ace’ collection of wine and personanlized pilsner beer glasses but that has to wait. Besides, we can just ask a carpenter to make one for us when budget permits.
Ohhh…can’t wait to move in and enjoy the feeling of having our own home sweet home!

We are lucky we have a neighbor that owns Mana Pest Control here in Davao City. He was referred by our next door neighbor who also availed of their pest control services. Since there are traces of termite infestation in the comfort room’s door jamb and the cabinet door jamb below the kitchen sink, we decided to have the whole house treated before me move in.
We were offered a discounted package fee with five-year warranty – just paid for the materials and a very minimal service fee so we closed the deal the other day. The next morning, the neighbor treated the house and the surroundings – injected anti-termite medicine around and some portions inside the house, sprayed using his power sprayer in the ceiling, and did mosquito fogging using his redmax leaf blowers. It was sweet of this neighbor to include the adjacent houses so they will also be protected in case the termite will find its way to their house. At least we’re all safe from these harmful pests that can damage a sleeping investment – the house.
