SmartBro’s poor and lousy services

Once again, SmartBro’s services sucks! My internet connection went down Friday afternoon. I called their hotline a couple of hours after and was advised to call back because their system is down (AGAIN!). Hence they cannot check on my account’s connection. Hoping that the connection will be restored after a couple of hours, I didn’t call them back and went to bed thinking that I’d be able to blog the next morning but to my dismay, we still don’t have internet connection. At 7AM I called the hotline and reported my concern and was told to wait for their feedback within 24hrs. That’s it, no more no less. Continue Reading »

Down for 3 days

I’m back! Haven’t blogged for days because my internet connection was down since Friday afternoon and had a nerve wrecking experience dealing with SmartBro’s customer service when all I got from them is “sorry for the inconvenience, Ma’am but your concern is….”. Smart really sucks! I will definitely post about them after I’m done with the “novel” I’m writing. I was really stressed in those days that I cannot go online because I should finish everything before the cut-off…and that’s today. I tried posting in the internet cafe but their connection is so slow. Seems a turtle walks faster than their connection. Continue Reading »

“Cable unplugged”

At last it’s up! The site has been down since this morning. I don’t wanna think our webhosting isn’t efficient but with the frequent incidence of server downtime and slow loading of pages, I believe their services failed my expectations. Actually I am thinking of transferring this domain to my webhosting account so that I can have full control over it in my webhosting account’s control panel but Ace said we’ll remain hosted here until the domain expires. Comparing to my other domain hosted in different webhosting firm, I seldom encounter server downtown and if there is, it wouldn’t last for more than an hour. Support is just an email away regardless what time of the day and I get a prompt reply to all my concerns. Continue Reading »

Inefficient Internet Service Provider

Filed under Internet and others, Life

I’m back! I was sick since Tuesday that I had to rest. Another thing, I was forced to a total bed rest yesterday because our internet connection was redirected.I am really pissed at our ISP’s services. Lately our connection has been intermittent that I cannot work on OHJ because I’ve been disconnected from time to time. Now my account has been redirected due to the unpaid balance that they charge to my account which is supposed to be not. Continue Reading »

Getting an eServer i5

I am not a super techie person when it comes to hardware, software, etc. But I am learning a lot from reading and just by listening to conversations. In my previous employment, our server is ALWAYS down. It’s always the problem and we suffer a lot for the server’s downtime. I don’t know how many times did the ISD people changed our server so that we could continue working for we cannot afford to be disconnected from the URC’s network for a day because operations will perish. The last time I got a word from former officemates about server problem was last month. I hope this time, URC has figured out to change the server and get an eServer i5 from Perfdata.com. One advantage of getting the product from them is their ever ready technical support. Customers’ concerns ranging from a very simple one to the complex issues will be easily addressed. Hence, no need of ISD people flying from head office to Davao Plant just to check the server and fix it. All they need to do is contact the support team of Perfdata. Also, hard to find parts are available with them so there’s no worry where to find those one of a kind parts in case one needs to be replaced.
