When was the last time we dined out during Valentine’s Day? I can’t really remember. Based on experience, restaurants, even fast food chains are packed with people during this day so we don’t usually go out and dine. Besides, we’re busy with work (errr…only the husband) so we have another excuse not to go out.
Heart’s Day for us seems like an ordinary day. No love letters, no romantic dinner, no gifts, no flowers from the husband. That used to be an issue years ago but I learned to live with it. So I don’t expect too much during this day because such gestures are not really important. That’s one of the Life’s Lessons that I learned after marrying my husband. Hubby loves to surprise me anytime he wants to – but not during special occasions so I don’t need to sulk in the corner and get mad at him for not planning for special occasions.
But this year’s celebration is a lot different. I have planned what to cook for dinner a day before. Hubby got a bottle of Welch’s Sparkling White Wine during our trip to the grocery prior to Heart’s Day. I thought he just bought me white wine that I could use in cooking because I don’t like the taste of our available white wine here at home. But when the table was set, he brought out the bottle of white wine – sosyal ang dinner namin!

Felt so accomplished today. Yet, my whole body – especially my back aches. I started to have sore throat last night and woke up a bit feverish. Water therapy is the key so I kept on gulping a lot of water from the time I woke up later this morning.
Though I am not really feeling well, I decided to continue de-cluttering our supposed to be home office that has become a stockroom with the other half of the area occupied by hubby’s work desk. After lunch, hubby and I started to clear the area – moved the single bed to our bedroom, put away the books, and threw the things that we don’t use. More than a couple of hours dealing with the clutter is not a joke but we have to finish it so we both could work.
After skipping our afternoon siesta and merienda (just to make our home office look like really one), we felt accomplished when finally we had our work desks and computers set-up! It really looks like a home office now.
Here’s hubby’s work station. He’s using my old desk and office chair.
and mine…. Still, I am using my niece’ study table.haha. (Tita is so poor, I can’t afford to buy a desk and office chair.LOL).

We need shelves for the books, magazines and other stuffs but it will all be kept in the storage box for the time being that we are still saving for our office furniture upgrade. With this set-up, hope we will be inspired to be more productive.

Moving is a pain. Going through all your belongings and trying to decide what to keep, what to donate and why you bought it all in the first place. There is the packing, and calling in of favors to help you load a truck or car. And then there is the actual move itself. The question is where are you moving to?
If you’ve been finally kicked out of your parents’ house or have decided to move out of your own free will, you are probably heading to an apartment. And while living in an apartment can be fun and exciting, the same can’t be said for finding an apartment.
If you plan to move in the same city you may have the luxury of time to drive around and visit potential places to live in person. If you are short on time or plan to move to a new city, perhaps even one you’ve never been to, your best choice is to look for apartments online.
