Instagram? Is this for real?

For months now I am drooling over instagram photos of my online friends. Lucky for them because they have either iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to be able to enjoy that Apple application.

Last week, I was doing my usual blog hopping reading digiscrapping blogs, looking for some tutorials that can help me learn new tricks in scrapping. Then I stumbled upon a certain blog post (sorry I forgot which blog) about instagram photo action in Photoshop. As you would expect, I was giddy happy! Downloaded the photoshop actions immediately and in no time I was already playing with it!

For you to see what I was talking about, here are my instagram-like photos:

Aren’t those look like Instagram photos? The only thing is, I can’t share it with friends over Instagram. Now I can’t wait for my iPad to arrive later this month or early next month so I can enjoy Instagram at its best!

Pregnancy and Birth in the US

Looking at the infographics about the pregnancy and birth rate in the U.S. reminded me of our long overdue plan to visit the fertility doctor that friends have recommended. I used to postpone the plan for more than a year now because of one reason – I am afraid to know that there’s something wrong in my system. For weeks now I am preparing myself to know what the doctor will tell us and I hope I will have the courage to drag my feet to the clinic very soon.

College Dropout Rates

I am a proud product of Public School system from elementary to college. During my time in the university, I could enroll for a semester with one thousand pesos because tuition fee is just fifteen pesos per unit! Being an “iskolar ng bayan” isn’t that expensive. Sadly, there are still people who couldn’t afford to send their children to the university. What’s disheartening is, those who are able to go to the university dropped out because of some reasons – most of which are not really motivated to finish their degree.

On the other hand, dropping out of college is not only happening in this part of the world. Unites States are even losing billions of income because of the increasing rate of college drop outs.
