If there is one word that residents of Austin, Texas would describe their city, it would be the “neighborhood.” Although Austin is undoubtedly one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, residents could still feel that warm friendship between neighbors, regardless of whether they live in the heart of the city or in the suburbs. As the city of Austin bustles with life, neighborhoods are still friendly, with people very open to making new friends.
For sure this is one of the reasons why many people choose Austin when they think of relocating to Texas. If you are considering of moving into the city yourself or just go for a short stay, it would not be hard to find a place that’s both convenient and comfortable.

Graduation month is almost over. When the month started, been reading friends’ FB status asking for graduation gift ideas. One mother-friend asked what tablet PC is best for her son who graduated from Kinder. WHAT???? Tablet PC for a barely 7-year-old boy? That’s how technology-advanced kids are today? What more if it’s my turn to give a graduation gift to my future kid? I wonder if yankees cufflinks would still be a nice gift for HS or college graduates decades from now. Will teenagers appreciate such during that time? Hope I still have the resources to be able to afford any gift for my future graduate and that it will be useful.

My wedding band is the only tangible thing (that I see every day) left from our wedding almost 5 years ago. A good friend suggested we should order larger than our size so when we gain weight (that’s usually happening to married people), it will still fit on our fingers. True enough! I and Ace gained weight but our wedding bands still fit in our ring fingers hence we are still wearing it everyday of our lives.
We had white gold (but not treated with chromium so it’s not the usual white gold that also looks like steel rings in the jewelry shops. Ours is a quaint band with a faint yellowish color. Not as lustrous and elegant as other wedding bands but I like it better because of the matte finish.

Why are we wearing it EVERYDAY regardless of what we do or where we go? Few weeks after we’re married, hubby’s aunt arrived for a short vacation. When Ace was introducing me to her, she excitedly asked “asa man ang wedding ring?” (where’s the wedding ring?). Unfortunately, we are not wearing our rings that time because we just had a whole day general cleaning of the house. But then she said it’s not an excuse. We should wear our rings and never remove it. That’s it! Starting that day, we’re wearing our wedding bands 24/7. I am doing the laundry with my ring on. I am pulling out weeds in the yard with my ring on. Ace giving the dogs a bath with his wedding band on. We even swim in the beach with our rings on!
Wearing our wedding bands ALL-THE-TIME slims down the possibility of losing or misplacing it. How about you? Do you wear the symbol of unending love EVERY DAY of your life?
