Daddy called the other night and we talked about the plans about what we will do with Mamang’s only inheritance from his parents – his share from the lumpsum of my late grandfather’s pension as a World War II Veteran from the US government. If only it’s the amount is big enough, we would probably invest it and buy gold from the United Sates Gold Bureau (USGB) so we could preserve Mamang Eling’s money. But since it’s just a meager amount for a so-called inheritance, we will be paying off the balance for Mamang’s lot. Daddy said we will divide the remaining money among us siblings but I and my sisters haven’t agreed about that yet. Let’s see what will be the final decision when we get the money.

These are some of the coin divers in Zamboanga City. It breaks my heart to see the children this way. Instead of playing with their friends, they are begging for coins from the onlookers to throw coins in the water and dive after the coin. So sad! This made me more grateful that I didn’t have to experience this during my childhood. If only one of these children get a gold coin, it would definitely change their life (oh, I hope!). That if, the coin will be used as investment for something profitable so they don’t have to endure the cold sea breeze and the water just to earn a few penny a day.

I am starting to save portion of my earnings. Yay to me! It takes a lot of courage not to withdraw all my blogging earnings and I was able to overcome that temptation. I saved some amount in Ace’ paypal and will be using the money for an investment in the future. What kind of investment you ask? I am not yet sure. Knowing that having a business entails a lot of effort, yet in return you will reap a lot of stresses and pressures, I am now doubtful if I would still want to do a business. I want something that doesn’t need much attention so the most sound idea is to buy gold bullion and keep it until it’s the right time to sell it and have additional capital to buy more gold. Wishful thinking! Kidding aside, gold is one of the best investments so we might consider than in the future.
