This is part of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS), Davao del Norte. Taken during our island hopping two Sundays ago. Definitely the colors of nature and I love the whiteness of the clouds against the blue sky.

Our last stop during last week’s island hopping is at Vanishing Island, one of the many small islands surrounding the Island Garden City of Samal or commonly known as IGACOS. This island is within the territory of Davao del Norte though it is most accessible thru Davao City. We were only given 30 minutes to swim so we didn’t take the camera with us as we step down from the boat for us to really enjoy swimming. After a while, Ace and I noticed that a great sunset was about to happen so we hurriedly walk (because I can’t swim that far) back to the boat, took the camera out of the bag and took this shot. Too bad I can’t compose it well because this is the best angle I could get from the boat. Read more… »

Another day for Sky Watch! I missed sky watching last week as we went home to visit my late mother’s grave. It’s my 2nd time to take photos for Sky Watch in Kabacan, Cotabato (my beloved hometown) and the first time to take sky photos from my grandparent’s yard. I love it there because I can see the vast sky. Only, the weather is so unpredictable during the days that we were there. It’s so sunny one moment and suddenly it drizzles. Anyway, here’s one of the sky photos I took in front of my grandparent’s yard with part of the old star apple tree as a foreground. Read more… »

We had a short (read: just an overnight) visit to Siquijor Island during our trip to Dumaguete City. I and Ace brought our swimming suits hoping that we could have a quick dip in one of Siquijor’s nice beaches but to our dismay, we didn’t had the luxury of time as we arrived there in the evening and went back to Dumaguete at 6AM the following morning. Anyway, here’s a piece of the mystic Siquijor Island’s sky viewing from the town of Siquijor, Siquijor’s seaport early morning (after a heavy rain the night before). Read more… »

I missed the fun last week. I have tons of photos for sky watch from our trip to Cebu last Thursday but I was so preoccupied with other things that I didn’t took time posting. Now I am making up for my absence and posting earlier than usual. When we checked in for our flight back to Davao last Tuesday, I told the check in assistant of Cebu Pacific Air to give us a starboard-window side seat. After she handed us the paper with our check-in details, I realized I forgot to tell her we wanted front row seats so that the aircraft’s wing will not obstruct a beautiful view of the sky which I intend to take photos. TGIF once again! It was such a busy yet happy week. My entry for this week was taken last Sunday morning in Isla Reta Beach Resort, Talicud Island. We spent the night at the resort and our stay there would not be complete without a sunrise shoot. I and Ace woke up around 4AM and walked a more than a hundred meters to the shore. It wasn’t a warm sunrise but we did managed to take the colors of the sky on daybreak. This is my first successful attempt in long exposure during daybreak. Day

Happy Sky Watch everybody! Join the fun here.

Thanks God it’s Friday! Time to sit down and see how beautiful the skies in different places are. My sky watch photo was taken the other Sunday. My first sunset shoot with hubby at SunCity. We went home immediately after the worship service, had an afternoon nap and walked to my favorite sunset spot. It is hubby’s first time there for a sunset shoot and he did enjoyed it though it is not a very warm, colorful and dramatic sunset…just a little hue of red in the clouds when Mr. Sun finally rest for the day.

Would you believe I’ve been looking forward for this day? Yes…because of Sky Watch! I am so excited to post my photos during the sunrise shoot in Sta. Ana Wharf last weekend. It was such a very beautiful and stunning sunrise I’ve ever saw. Other photos taken during the shoot are posted in my other blogs. Here’s one of my favorite…the fiery sun as he goes up the horizon. I had it printed in 8×10 for the exhibit in a friend’s coffee shop. Read more… »

I don’t know how to properly label this photo but the first word that came to mind after seeing this in my monitor is SOFT. I like the soft hue of gold in the clouds. It’s not as warm as any sunset cloud but it brings a quite serene mood. Again, this was taken from my favorite sunset spot. Read more… »
