Enjoying the comforts of home

Some people underestimate the stress house transfer brings. If you are planning to transfer to another house and you would need a place to stay temporarily, chances are you would have to stay in hotels and get stressed at staying in one room which may not feel to be home at all. You would need a place where you could have that perfect transition of leaving your home and moving in into a new one.

This is where Ft Lee hotels would come in. Understanding that you need a home away from home and that you are going through a major change in your life with your house transfer, they provide you with the home that you need temporarily. Unlike staying in a regular hotel where you would be bound inside a room practically doing nothing, you could actually enjoy the outdoors with Ft Lee. Not to mention of course that they have excellent amenities, you would have everything you need. On top of that, they have people who are just a call away ready to take care of whatever it is that you need.

For those who are travelling or on an important business that would require you to stay in Virginia for at least 30 days or longer, military hotels in Fort Lee are a perfect solution to your accommodation needs. With excellent facilities and amenities, they offer their customers nothing less than the best services. A fitness center, grounds where you could play ball at are among the facilities that sets them apart from other hotels. Not to mention that you could grill, take lazy afternoon walks in a very safe, pet-friendly neighborhood!

Some people stay staying in hotels would give you a homey feeling. In reality, this does not hold true to every hotel you would go to. But with Fort Lee, you are home. You would even get homesick after you leave!

Mar Y Monte Resort in Zamboanga City

If I have the means now, I would love to spend a month or two in one of these beautifully-structured and well-designed rest houses in Mar Y Monte Resort inside Zamboanga Economic Zone Authority that we visited during the 4th Mindanao Bloggers Summit held in Asia’s Latin City – Zamboanga. These fully furnished rest houses are for rent for a certain fee (I’m sorry my memory failed me but as far as I can remember it is Php8,000 or Php10,000 per month.

Inside the guest house is a loft with two single beds. I don’t know but lofts are my personal favorite. I love the feeling that after you get out of bed, you can easily see the area downstairs. Maybe I just fell in love with my former boss’ loft-style apartment in Tagaytay that is why lofts have a special “connection” to me.

I love the bath tub! It’s not a claw foot tub but how it was set is really nice. With the stones, seems like it’s an outdoor bathroom!

View from the veranda is a manmade lake. One can go boating in this lake. There’s also a zipline for the adventurous ones.

wait…there’s more! Mar Y Monte is a resort so here’s the swimming pools!

Mar Y Monte I wish we could spend some lazy days in this beautiful resort in a serene environment inside Zamboanga Economic Freeport Zone. In the future, we will go back in this lovely place!

Conquering the highest peak in the Philippines – Mt. Apo – is one of the items in my bucket list. I am not sure if I’d be able to do it BUT I really wanted to reach the peak and see the world below. That would definitely be a fulfilling experience! Almost all of the guys and some of the girls in my HS class were able to climb the highest mountain even when we were still in school. They used to climb during summer way back then…and they keep coming back every summer! How I wish my stamina is as good as theirs so I can trek with them.

Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines

It is actually easy for me to climb because I am one step closer. I mean, I don’t have to travel from other parts of the country by boat or by plane just to get to the starting point of the climb. It’s just almost two hours away! I have friends who can lend me their mountaineering backpacks and other accessories including their Black Diamond Poles should I wish to conquer Mt. Apo. Ace wanted it too. But our concern is me and my low stamina. Prior to the climb I should work out, prepare my body for the long trek. I know the climb won’t be easy. My muscles should be toned and my whole body should be prepared for going up the elevation of 3,143.6 above sea level.

Friends who have been there many times said the climb is not that difficult. BUT still, muscle toning and strengthening my stamina is needed. I wish I could climb the highest peak soon, with Ace as my buddy who will carry some of the stuffs for me.LOL. Seriously, I wanted to have a photo op at the peak with the rising and setting sun in the background. Smile
