unifrutti badminto tournament 2009

After their Bowling Tournament last month, last Saturday is Unifrutti’s Badminton Tournament for this year. Ace was able to join but sadly, he didn’t have any photo while playing.*pout*. Anyway, he did play well (according to him) and has the possibility of reaching the finals if only his partner was younger and more skilled.hahaha.

We truly had a very GREAT weekend. How about yours? Share it at Weekend Snapshot.

We went to the mall last weekend to buy this jumping rope so we could have a way to sweat out aside from the occassional stretching that we do.

The photo was processed in Lightroom, by the way. I tried dowloading presets last Saturday but haven’t explored much so I was just trying how to use it and I must say, I am beginning to love it.

We dropped by at the beach yesterday before we accompany our two cousins to the airport for their flight back in Manila and here’s a snap that Ace took of Ashley, one of our niece (cousin’s daughter) who is living in Manila and her first time to go to the beach. We were just amazed at how this little kid loved the beach though it is her first time. She truly had a blast!

beach reflection at Chema's by the Sea

We went to Chema’s by the Sea in Samal Island last Friday. At last! After so many years of wanting to go there, I finally had set foot on that beach resort. While other resorts are too crowded, Chema’s by the Sea is the opposite with barely a hundred guests (because the owner don’t just accept walk-in guests so they can control the number of their guests). It’s a great place to relax and unwind from the city life. Such a beautiful place and we will be back there soon…with Ella and company :-)

We had a great weekend. How about you? Share it with us at ”weekend-snapshot. Have a great easter Sunday to those who are celebrating it.

Ace spent his rest day lazing around and sleeping. Kiaw-Kiaw joined him in bed and he slept beside Ace but he found it more comfortable sleeping in between Ace’ legs.*lol*.

Weekend was spent mostly at home…though we were out to a movie (after century of not watching one) with my sisters, BIL and Ella last Friday. Last night, we were again at the mall to have dinner and some window shopping. Oh, it’s not actually window shopping. I was sweet-talking to Ace about my plan of getting an extension tube for our DSLR next payout. He asked me how much it costs and when I told him it’s around PhP800.00, he instantly lead me to Funtronics. The sales attendants don’t know how to use it (but they know how to mount it in the camera) so I have to research on how to use extension tube. This morning, after a few minutes of  experimenting how it is being used, I finally got it. So off I am at the back of the house where we temporarily put the plants I and Carol bought last weekend at the Agro-Trade Fair. Carol’s Lisianthus flowers already wilted so I was contained in taking macro shots of the Piti-Mini (small roses about an inch in diameter).

We were at SM last weekend to check on the Agro-Industrial Trade Fair for the 72nd Araw ng Dabaw. Yay! This is what I’ve been waiting for because I will buy the herbs that I so long wanted. Together with my sister (Carol), BIL (Donald) and Ella, we went home with a handful of plants. I had a few ornamentals and flowering plants but these excites me….

We’ve been to Magsaysay Park last weekend to shoot for Chinese New Year activities but I ended up shooting ourselves…just practicing my creativity in photography.*wink*.

Ace loves Kutsinta (brown Rice cake) topped with grated coconut, Maja Blanca and “nilupak” (pounded banana mixed with coconut and sugar). These were his dessert during our buffet breakfast last weekend. These were actually snack foods but some are making this into dessert. :-)
