Life’s Lessons

 We are watching Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 last night after Ace had dinner. It was scholar Bugoy’s time to visit his hometown, alma mater and his family including Goofy – his Carabao. I was amazed at how people were so thrilled to see him. The university students, faculty and staff were out in the corridors to see their pride. I couldn’t help but I got teary-eyed. Glad that Ace is not sitting beside me but when he glanced at me and saw I was teary-eyed, he asked why. I only smiled at him and he said “kala ko ako lang” (I thought it’s only me) and wiped his eyes and laugh.hahaha. Ace and I are big fans of Bugoy and his talent. He’s such a talented guy with a story of almost “rugs-to-riches”. I say “almost” because he’s not rich yet, but he is on the right track to achieve his dreams. The former working student assigned in the canteen, mopping the floor and using his mop handle as a microphone is now making his name in the industry. He got the innate talent of a singer and I love his voice very much. I couldn’t help but say “wow” everytime he performs. I remember his struggle during his first few weeks in the academy. He felt so inferior from the others in terms of looks and social status. Yet, he used that inferiority complex to be superior in his performance compared to other scholars. Now that he’s one of the best in their batch, I hope he will be the Dream Winner of the Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 and continue to develop his God-given talent and achieve his dreams.
