Sweeter as the years go by
Today is FIL’s 57th birthday. It was such a great day as I and Che-Che went to the city to buy some stuff for dinner. After withdrawing from the ATM, I told Che-Che we’ll buy at least 1 dozen balloons. She was like, “are you okay?” Nobody will enjoy the balloons as we don’t have a kiddo at home. Thus, we went to Bankerohan to get a dozen of Malaysian mums. Che-Che insisted on getting a bunch of pink roses so we have 2 dozens all in all. The problem now is…we don’t have tall vases as the flowers we got are all long-stemmed. It’s useless to cut it short. The only solution is to buy a vase, actually vases and we really got two tall vases. Then we headed to the grocery and get all we need as quick as possible. After grocery we dropped by and bought a cake from Red Ribbon.
Ace arrived earlier than PILs and we waited for about 30 mintues before they finally get here. After some picture taking, we had a feast…actually it is! The food is good for about 10 people and we are only 5 so I was like “tomorrow, we will all be on diet”.
Anyway, Daddy and Mama seemed happy with that simple dinner. I was then reminded of the song we usually sing in church during birthdays and anniversaries….sweeter as the years go by. To Daddy, words are not enough to thank you for the love you have showed us (Ace and me). It’s more than half a decade life full of wisdom. Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Note: Will be posting the photos soon as I haven’t uploaded it yet.
