Great morning! I am still groggy and wanna crawl back to bed after Ace left for work but I need to finish my tasks before lunch so we could go out this afternoon. I wonder what kept us awake until the wee hours of the morning. I am done with my tasks before midnight and Ace fell asleep at the sofa while watching the late night news. It was a kinda stressful day for us because of the shocking news so I am expecting we could go to sleep as soon as our backs hit the bed. We find ourselves talking about the incident and about my cousin until such time that we cannot force ourselves to sleep. I don’t know what time we were able to doze off but I am sure it is between 2 to 3 in the morning. It’s my cousin’s first night and though they might have not brought home his body last night (from what I heard his body will be brought to Camp Siongco in Awang, Maguindanao. I don’t know if that’s an SOP with the military because autopsy has been done at funeral home already), I am sure our relatives back home are having a vigil so it seems like we are having our vigil over here.
Rest in peace, 1st Lt. Santiago P. Moya, Jr. Your life on earth may be too short (yes, it is short because I am older than him!) but I know you are fulfilled. I hope justice will be served soon. We will miss you!
