Need to cleanse my colon?

Hmmm….that was I was always thinking. I need to cleanse my colon to prevent build-ups of unnecessary food particles left in it that will eventually lead to more serious illness. With my lifestyle and the food that I take in, I’m sure I badly need to cleanse it. I remember my parents would tell us always to eat vegetables especially the string beans because it can clean the intestinal walls like a soft broom sweeping the floor. But seems I am not yet too serious about that plan because I am not taking any step yet. There are times when I wanted to have a fruit diet. I have read sometime ago that a 3-day fruit diet will cleanse the colon and the system as well. Hmmm….I doubt if I can endure 3 days without rice. Then another option is taking a colon cleanser tea. My former officemates tried a certian tea and it sure makes them discharge a lot. I also wanted to try the Miracle Tea which we bought for Mamang when she was still in the hospital. It sure worked because within 24 hours after drinking the tea, she discharged a lot of waste from her body. I couldn’t believe it myself. Its as if everything that was piled up in her intestinal walls for years was flushed out of her body and she felt so relieved after that. Whatever way will work for me, I really need to cleanse my colon…remember, cancer runs in the family. Oh, God forbid.

Pointed canopy of the strucutre in the entrance of the subdivision nearby. I don’t know what is the purpose of this structure…really. But I love its design.

Punished Puto

Ace got home a little bit late last night. Before he went in, he called me out to check on Puto because he was trapped outside the fence. It’s Puto’s fault, by the way because I’ve been pulling him in but he wouldn’t so I just left him there the whole day. Puto is so hard-headed that if he doesn’t like, he would heed you. Hence, I punished him by staying the whole day outside. He was only pulled in when Ace got home. They played a little bit as I said to Ace Puto needs a little bit of exercise. I got the flashlight so that we could have a little bit of lighting since the flourescent in the veranda was busted which reminds me that we need to get an outdoor lighting that I’ve been telling Ace days after the flourescent lamp was busted. From time to time I temporarily put the study lamp ouside to light the dogs. Last night was an excemption because I used the lamp in our room. So that’s Ace’ another assignment. Hope he won’t forget to get a flourescent lamp during our next trip to the hardware.

Sky Watch Friday: It’s a Jet plane!

I had a short photo session outside last Monday as Ace was having fun with Puto and Maya. I intentionally took a snap of the clouds for my Sky Watch entry when I suddenly noticed a while line across the sky. I was so ecstatic about it that I called on Ace to see what’s up there. So I clicked and clicked without minding the 400D’s settings. I don’t have time to shift to other mode as I need to be very quick in taking a snap of it. Good thing it turned out to be okey. So, here’s my first captured photo of a jet plane…on my birthday!

Yay! I am almost at the last digit in the calendar. Yes, I celebrated my natal day last Monday. It was supposed to be a holiday for me but who else will do marketing and all? Not unless Mamang and Daddy were here. Mamang will surely cook for me and Daddy will butcher chicken. Hay, I miss Mamang even more. It has become Daddy’s tradition to butcher chicken everytime a family member celebrates a birthday. It’s his own way of thanksgiving. When we were still in school, we would attend classes with a cross mark of the animal’s blood in our forehead. I’m pretty sure Daddy butchered one of his chickens during that day.

Ace surprised me when he went home after lunch. He called for a half-day leave so he can accompany me to the market. Off we went to Bankerohan to buy crabs and shrimps. Remember, I’ve been craving for that. And since it’s my day, I will treat myself with those sumptuous food. After Bankerohan, we headed to GMall for grocery shopping and got a cake. Yes, I BOUGHT my cake..hmp! Since it is my day, it’s my choice again…Black Forest from Red Ribbon!

Ace helped me out in the kitchen. He mixed the fruit salad while I was preparing to cook the crabs. After the salad, he peeled the shrimps. We were not yet done when Manang Inday and Dimple arrived. Manang continued on frying the shrimps while I was preparing other things. Then we had a heavy dinner. Nobody’s on a diet! Good thing I counted everyone and get a piece of crab for each (including Donald and Carol). We have one each. I thought a piece can be shared by 2 people. I was definitely wrong. The ratio is 1:1…1 crab per person. Che-Che even had 2! That was so much! Oh, before I forget, MIL bought roasted chicken that was eaten the next morning because everybody were focused on the crabs and shrimps. We even ate a small amount of the salad and a slice of cake because our food basket is already full.

Anyway, that was such a wonderful day. It’s been years since I last had a birthday cake so blowing my cake candles is very memorable. Too bad that we didn’t have much photos because everybody is itching to eat.*wink*. No time to pose in front of the food.

Ruby Tuesday: Red Slippers

I have previously mentioned about Ace’ plan of getting a pair of slippers. He wanted something like his old one from Third World Outdoor (TWO) which lasted for years. Actually that slipper he got last 2002 is still functional. He just wanted something more presentable to wear. After pushing him to finally get a pair (because we’ve been in Lord Anthony for the nth time), he was convinced to get a red pair. So, I got a photo of it for my Ruby Tuesday entry….and here it is.

Weekend Snapshot: Big Bike

This is really late…better late than never.LOL. Ace arrived so early last Saturday so we had time to go to the mall for window shopping. First we went to SM to check with CameraHaus if they have available UV filter. Luckily, they have the last piece of UV filter that fits the size of our 400D’s lens. It’s much more cheaper than the one sold at Funtronics in GMall. We had it installed by the store personnel. He also gave us tips on using the creative mode of the DSLR. Yey! I’ve learned something. Ace was like, “You should take the basic photography workshop. You’ll learn some more.” After some walk around SM, we hop in to GMall. Ace wanted to get a pair of slippers so we went to Lord Anthony but he didn’t get one. It was our nth time there looking for a pair of slippers. He was in a hurry leaving the store. Only to find out he was so hungry so we went to Greenwhich for some pizza and lasagna. While eating, we saw this big motorbike being displayed in the mall’s lobby. Hence, we took a snap of this beautiful huge motorcycle after eating. While I was taking this photo, Ace was like “Neng, if you ride that, you will look like a little kid in a motorcycle”.

It’s my holiday!

I am declaring my own holiday today! OHJ released a new work schedule and I am supposed to work 10AM but I declared today is my holiday. So I asked Carol to sub for me so that I can have my day off. Actually, not day off because I have so many things to attend to. Just finished washing Ace’ pants and my capri. After this short post, will go to the wet market to buy crabs and shrimps for dinner, some grocery shopping and get a cake. What else? I also need to clean the house. Oh, I thought I could have my rest day today. I’ll be preparing everything for myself. It’s not a surprise anymore*pout*. Actually, these can be done easily when many hands will do it. But mine are just only two…so, it will really take time. Can I just treat myself out today? Now I was thinking if we could just dine out tonight but seems impractical. Crabs and shrimps costs much in a restaurant and I am craving for it so I don’t have a choice but to cook.

Camera Critters: Bee in a Yellow Morning Glory

Another CC day! For this week, I have a bee in a yellow Morning Glory. This was taken when we had an early morning trip to the beach. I took this photo because this is the first time I saw a yellow flower of this kind. The flowers of the Morning Glory blooms only in the morning…as the name implies. As I was taking a snap, a bee directly flew to the flower. Seems it wasn’t bothered by my presence. Happy CC everybody!
