Understanding STD

I first learned about STD during high school. It was tackled in Biology class if I remember it right but my young mind didn’t understood that well. Then I had a more in-depth understanding of it when I became a volunteer for Adolescent Health and Youth Development Program of the provincial government. It was one of the topics we discuss when doing outreach programs to the youth from different schools. What I learned are theoretical, only the causes, the symptoms and the ways to avoid being contacted with STD. It wasn’t discussed in details how important it is to seek medical attention at the first sign of symptoms and the need for a comprehensive std testing. Moreover, one should take advantage of the unique services of the National STD Testing and the great selection of preventive tests and related health tests that they offer. Should you need a same day std testing, they will help coordinate all the testing you need and follow up at a clinic near you. Whew! Just thinking about it makes me really sick. I just wish people who have such problem will be healed at the early stage of the illness and won’t be able to spread the disease to their partners or worst, others. Oh well, the best prevention is to stick to your partner. That way, the possibility of contacting an STD is so slim.
