Note: This should be posted in my other blog but since Ace is also in the picture, I decided to post it here.
Last weekend we went strolling at the mall and we went on our usual route which is going to the kitchenwares, dinnerwares, curtains, up to the furniture section. I saw a nice curtain for the living room for 50% off (two panels are packed as 1 so as they say, it’s buy 1 take 1). I instantly grabbed one (because our living room windows are only 2 panels) and then asked the sales lady if it’s the same as the one being displayed. She said “yes” so I didn’t checked on the items inside the plastic sheet which I am holding. Then we went on walking, checking for some good deal until we reached the dinnerwares section. My attention was caught by a Melaware square dinner plate in pink floral design. I have seen that design even before but didn’t mind to get one. I just love looking at it. As we were scouting the area, I was trying to recall where did I saw a dinner plate with the same or almost the same design. I have seen it in the internet, I am very sure. After a while, we were heading to the cashier. Just beside the cashier is a display of Corelle dinnerwares. In a snap I remembered the plate! The square dinner plate with floral design is from Corelle! So, there you go, that melaware plate is inspired from Corelle’s Pretty Pink design.

That’s the Corelle Pretty Pink dinnerware set. Familiar? You must have seen that same design at the malls and were sold far way cheaper than the original Corelle. Hence, no way we would get that design when we buy a dinnerware set. Ace already picked his choice of design from the display so that’s what we’re getting.
Anyway, back to the curtain that we were about to pay before we were engrossed with the Corelle display, I checked its description before I had it punched and it was not a GROMMET-TOP curtain. Rather, it was a GATHERED curtain so we went back to the curtain section and put it back on the shelf. I got the GROMMET top but it sure is more expensive than what we could afford for a curtain so I put it back in the shelf. Ace said, better luck next time!*lol*

Hi Kerslyn, this is exactly what we bought last December here at the Corelle factory outlet. And, my, my, the prices have changed. It used to be so cheap, and I guess the times are changing.
