Extension wire for the air conditioner: a Big NO
Posted on Jun 24, 2010 under Helpful Tip, Home stuff | 3 CommentsWe heard a jaw-dropping fact last Sunday. We were looking for a durable extension wire for the a/c when Ace asked one sales attendant in the hardware if the three-pronged plug of the a/c will fit in the three-pronged adapter. The sales attendant replied without any doubt that a/c should not be plugged in extension wires. There must be a separate outlet for the a/c unit because it might cause fire when the capacity of the outlet is lower than the a/c’s requirement. That was really frightening! For more than a month that we have moved, we’ve been using extension wires for the a/c unit because there is no plug for it. There should be one, I know but I don’t know how previous occupants in this house manage to plug their a/c units.
Had we asked somebody to install the a/c instead of doing it all by ourselves, we should have not placed our lives and the house at risk. There’s the phoenix air conditioning installation team that could take care of that concern to make sure that we are safe. If only we are in Phoenix, Arizona, Jay’s Comfort Team could do it for us. The team is offering repair of air conditioners phoenix and installation of the air conditioning phoenix or should I say in Phoenix area. So next time, we won’t be relying on ourselves to install the a/c. We need to call the professionals in doing the installation and repair.
