Life’s Lessons

For days of being in silent mode, I feel the urge to update this blog now despite of my not-so-normal mood to post. I felt physically drained for days that all I wanted to do is sleep. It may be because I haven’t slept that much during the night and neither had a nap during the day. For three straight nights we were in Carol’s FILs wake that made me really feel exhausted. I don’t know why. Maybe because I am not used to go out that often, I mean for three straight nights when I am used to go out once or twice a week on weekends. Nah, that’s the not-so-good thing about being at home most of the time.

Last Sunday, some of our cousins, nieces and nephews came all the way from Kabacan to visit the wake and we (the “girls”) went home at 1AM while the “boys” stayed (except for Ace who stayed at home so he could rest early) had a vigil and went home in the morning. So we had a literally “full house” last Sunday until yesterday morning. As usual, they brought food and we just cooked it here. Thank goodness because our budget for food is just enough for us, no budget for extras. I am even more thankful because one of my aunts send sent a big shopping bag full of rice. Wohooo! We won’t be buying rice for a week.*grin*. Though we have lotsa visitors, I was not too exhausted entertaining our “visitors” because they don’t feel like visitors. They gave me a hand (or its the other way around…I gave them a hand) in preparing the food and washing the dishes. I just had problem with mattresses and pillows because we don’t have extra mattress for them. Next time I would save for that so we have extra for our visitors. 

By the way, one cousin mentioned that two people won the winning number of the lottery with the most anticipated winning prize of more than three hundred million pesos. How lucky they are! PCSO’s lottery games had millions of players each day and I am sure more will be playing if they go online. I hope they’ll consider that idea of expansion by going online just like the online casinos did. That way, the busy people who don’t have time to go to the lottery ticket outlets can have the chance to play online. It would be more convenient for others, for sure.
