Our life, experiences, and lessons learned

M.O.V.I.N.G.

Happy NEW YEAR!!!! Our year started right, just like what I want. :-) We have lots of things to be grateful for and things are slowly taking in place. Yesterday morning, Ace received a call from his close high school batchmate – Jovani, that the apartment unit beside them is already vacated so we could rent it out if we want to. I remember Ace asked favor from him since early last year if he knew a house or apartment we could rent and he never forgot about that so when he and his wife knew that the unit beside them is empty, he asked the owner to reserve it for us. That was so thoughtful of him and his wife, Haydee. We are equally excited about the thought that we will be neighbors. Anyway, Ace asked me to check the unit right away so we (my sisters, BIL and Ella) immediately went to the place. It was really nice. It’s a two-bedroom unit, not too spacious like where we live now it will be a great place for me and Ace. Che2x was even happier to know that water supply is 24 hours so she wouldn’t wait till late night to have the dishes washed before she could sleep. One thing that I like in the place is the accessibility of Bankerohan Public Market. It’s just a tricycle-ride away so I can go to the market to have fresh fish, veggies and meat everyday if I could. We can save a bit in food there than here where we get fish and some veggies in the store with a big mark-up.

Last night, I was talking to Ace about the place and he has made his final decision…WE.ARE.MOVING. I told him about my concerns on household stuffs but that can be dealt with as soon as we are there. We’re not sure if PILs will be moving with us (with all their stuffs, I doubt if we could all fit in the apartment). If they won’t go with us, we will be pushed to purchase what we need for the house which we haven’t done here (since we don’t feel the urgency to buy because we are also using PILs’ stuffs). Anyway, my collection of kitchen utensils is almost complete so I don’t have to worry that much…as long as I have frying pans, claypot, stock pot, rice cooker, and a stove, I can manage. I am really excited about the move and the idea that we will be living in our own-rented place so I could have all the freedom to do whatever I wanted. :-) Yay! That makes me more excited! I hope nothing will hinder that plan and the move will be soonest. SOONEST – a word from Ace. So when I asked him should I start packing our things, he said “Y.E.S”. Whoa! That was great! That made me sleepless last night. I am writing in my mind what we need and what should we prioritize. The list isn’t final yet but I have to start sorting our things. We won’t be bringing what we cannot use there so those things will all go to the trash because I don’t want to bring “garbage” there. If only I could, I want everything new for our new place…for a fresh start.
