After more than 2 weeks, PLDT people were able to finally locate our place. I am not actually expecting them to come over because of the previous conversations between Ace and PLDT personnel a week after we submitted our application for PLDT myDSL that pissed Ace. He received a call a week after we submitted his application asking him why he didn’t attached his proof of billing and copy of contract of lease since we are renting the apartment. With the tone of the PLDT lady’s voice, it was all Ace’ fault that she cannot process the application because of the lacking documents. We actually brought those documents when we submitted the application form but the lady in the PLDT booth (inside SM City department store) told us only a photocopy of Ace’ identification card should be submitted. I even asked the lady twice if she’s sure that we don’t need to submit other documents and she sternly said “yes”. So whose fault is it now?
Two days after, Ace received another call from PLDT asking him if we have neighbor that has PLDT line and if there is, she told Ace to get the number of that line and get back to PLDT so they could search in their system if there’s an existing line here in our place. Isn’t it their job to evaluate the area to determine if it’s possible to install myDSL here in our place? Since that’s how things are going on with our application, I convinced myself that maybe we’re not meant to be changing ISP this soon.
But things come when you least expect it, as they say. And this morning, PLDT contractors were here to install the landline. They said activation of the landline will be after we’ll be able to pay for the installation fee and the DSL to follow. Hence, we’ll expect to have activated landline and DSL in 3 to 5 working days. Yay!

Hay naku sis, kaloka talaga minsan ang mga telecom companies. Di minsan ginagamit ang common sense.
I have a friend who also applied to the PLDT DSL and she was told that it will take 2-3 weeks before they can install the DSL connection.
