Holidays 2009

Holidays are over and I haven’t posted how it went in our end. Anyway, we called Daddy to come over so we could spend it with him. It’s been years since we last spent the holidays with Daddy so he arrived on the 23rd. We’ve been spending Christmas eve with my sisters, BIL, Ella and PILs for years but this time PILs went home to Siquijor to celebrate the holidays with MIL’s parents.

We’re taking advantage of the DSLR so we pose non-stop.

Weeks before, we draw names for our gift exchange. Mine was Ella while Tito Ace picked Ella’s name.

This girl was always the star during Christmas Eve or New Year’s eve gift giving since she was born. So she was the first one to open her gifts.

I wrapped my gift to her in Kiaw-Kiaw’s cat food box and she almost cried when she saw the box as she tore open the wrapper. Carol helped her open the gift or else, she would probably throw the cat’s food box. When Carol brought out what’s inside the box she was beaming to see the MP5 that she’s been asking from us for months that every time we go to SM, she would drag me to the stall that sells MP5 and MP5 cases.

Then another gift from Carol and Donald.

Then it’s Eman’s turn. He seemed to be asking Carol from whom his gift is…

IMG_3536

Then turned to Tito Ace with a “what’s inside this” look

IMG_3537

since Tito Ace won’t tell what’s inside he turned to the gift and said “hmmm…i’ll guess it”

IMG_3542

While Carol was opening Eman’s gift, the little man was quietly seated and waiting. He seemed to be thinking “I thought it’s a brmmmm…brmmmm (a motorcycle)”LOL. The day when  I went to Toy Kingdom to get Ace’ gift to Eman, I am clueless what to wrap for the little guy. But when I saw a small basketball ring with a scorer, I remember Ace telling me months before that he will buy Eman a basketball ring so I got the basketball set without second thoughts.

Daddy received gifts from us

while Ace got the most number of gifts (I wrapped the gifts he received from some of their suppliers.LOL)

He told me not to bother getting something for him because I already gave him his Fossil watch last November but I still got him an umbrella. He needs one because he’s commuting to and from work. With our weather here, we cannot tell when will it rain. The umbrella that he’s been using gave up days before Christmas and he went home drenched. Lookie, he’s so happy with his rain and shine buddy in going to and from work.

For the rest of the gift exchange, Ace got a polo shirt from Ella, Carol received a Havaianas flip flops from Donald, I got a Freego black top from Che2x, Donald received a polo shirt from Eman, Che2x received a Freego top from Carol.

After the gift exchange, we had midnight snack of red ribbon Dulce de Leche cake, fiesta ham, queso de bola, shrimps (from our dinner leftover) and spaghetti.
