Kiaw-Kiaw is grounded

Kiaw-Kiaw was with us since our first night here in the apartment. We put him in a travelling bag so he won’t escape during the trip. He was not used to the environment so he was really restless as we locked him in the comfort room with a rug where to sleep on. He was getting used to sleep in the comfort of the comfort room*LoL* for the first couple of nights. When he hears loud voices (yes, because our neighbors outside the apartment compound are like Tarzans in the city), he will run for his life and hide as if he was chased by a predator.

We are confident that he could not escape when we temporarily put him at the back because of the high fence surrounding our unit. How could he escape in that 7-foot concrete fence unless he has the blood of a jumper (seen that movie?)? But we were totally wrong. He was able jump out of the fence and he was out for one whole day and when he was back, he was calling out on us to open the door for him. He seemed to enjoy the life out of his little world so he makes a way to get out of the 4 corners of this apartment and gets back when he wanted. The second time he was out, we didn’t expect him to be home again but he called out at past midnight. We know that it was him…the way he “meows”, we know he’s calling out on us. When Ace opened the gate, he hurriedly went in and happily rubbed his belly on us.

Days went by and the same things happen. He’s restless in the comfort room so we allow him to walk and play outside. One time Che2x saw him already walking in the fence so we tried to pull him back but he was as stiff as a dead man that we could not get him. After a moment, he’s gone. We have already put away all the piled boxes that we think served as his way out in the fence but he has mastered the art of escaping by the high fence in a way that we cannot comprehend. He has no way of climbing up on anything to reach the top of the fence but he was able to escape each day.

One night we let him sleep in Che2x’s room. We put in the rug and his pillow but at 3AM, Che2x exiled him to the living room because he made pee on her bed.*LoL* Early last night he was back from his escape and he smells horrible so he had an unplanned bathe. It’s his first bathe actually and I am glad he took it lightly. In fact, he was well-behaved. Ace said he’ll sleep in our room so we made his bed in the floor but he ended up sleeping between me and Ace. Good enough that he didn’t pee and we all had a sound sleep.

Starting today he’s grounded. He’s not allowed to go out so he is closely guarded because I am accountable to Ace if he’ll be able to escape. All doors locked. Glad that he’s making this easy for me as he slept and slept the whole morning until now. Anywhere he thinks it’s comfortable to sleep, there he goes and when he wanted to be cuddled, he’s sleeping in my lap while I was doing my thing in front of the PC. Earlier, I caught him sleeping in different positions and locations.

in the cabinet top…uh..oh…what does the cotton buds doing in there?

and in our bed….making the the towel as his sheet

Now he’s back in the rug with another position…

That’s how he spends his time….when grounded. I don’t know how long will he endure being inside the house 24 hours a day.

awww… poor kiaw-kiaw. he must be totally depressed on being grounded. Too much sleep = depression. :)
I hope he is not “not feeling well” due to his unplanned bath.
