Everyday, Puto and Maya have some visitors. Goats get in here and eat some of the leaves of my plants. Aside from the goats, there are lots of native chicken roaming around the yard and sometimes getting near the two dogs. Sometimes, they would chase the hen that gets near them and the hen runs for her life. Other times, the two dogs just ignore the chicken. But the other day, a chick almost lost her life. I want to call “her” because the chick’s feathers are white and brown. Does it make sense? LoL. Anyway, I was awakened by a chick’s cry somewhat crying for help. When I went out to check what was happening, I saw Puto biting her right wing. Maya, on the other hand is barking at the chick and is trying to get near to Puto in the act of biting the chick too. I was shocked. But my initial reaction was to scream at Puto to release the chick but the more that I shout to Puto and Maya, the more they become so eager to bite the chick to death. So I went near them and spank Puto’s butt with my flip flops. He ignored me. I spanked him again so he finally released the chick. When the chick finally freed from Puto’s mighty mouth, she ran as fast as she could not minding what she’ll bump on the way. I was giggling as I watch the chick running for her life then I told Puto next time he’ll make sure that he’ll catch a hen because we can make it to native chicken tinola (chicken stew in ginger and vegetables)LoL or he’ll catch the goat going inside here eating the leaves of my plants so we could eat “kaldereta” and “pinapaitan”. When I told Ace about what happened and what I told to Puto, he liked the idea because he wanted to eat native chicken tinola or caldereta and pinapaitan too.
