Short notice

We were invited to a buffet breakfast yesterday courtesy of PILs. MIL told us to have breakfast 30 minutes before the time they have set and the perfect melancholic was having his time relaxing in front of the TV (because Sundays are the only days he could relax and get up late). Ace is a perfect melancholic (I don’t know how many times I have mentioned that) and as a melancholic, he wanted everything to be planned. He hates short notices especially if he needs to get dressed because it would take him much time to prepare. Take note: MUCH TIME. His mind was conditioned that he will have his time to relax in the morning and we’ll go to the mall in the afternoon. So when MIL told us about the breakfast with the rest of the family, I cannot pull him out from his comfort zone. All I could say is “it depends upon Ace”. Like Ace, I’m not comfortable of short notices also especially if my mind was conditioned to do something. I will have a hard time convincing myself to go out of my comfort zone. In short, we missed the family breakfast. Oh well, there’s still some other time and I hope we could drag our feet to go to the venue given that we have ample time to prepare because the melancholic needs so much time to get himself done.
