“Don’t buy pearls for yourself.” “Don’t wear pearls on your wedding day.” “Single ladies should not wear pearl”. That was only few of the superstitious beliefs about Pearls. The reason pointed out for this is that Pearls are said to be a tear of an oyster. Hence, anyone buying it for herself will have a “tearful” life. Those who wear it in their wedding day will suffer so much emotional pain in marriage. Single ladies are believed to remain single forever if they wear Pearl. Sorry to the believers because I don’t believe in it either. I love Pearls so much because it is my birthstone. Having a set of Pearl jewelry is one of my dreams. I am not a jewelry lover myself but I used to buy cultured Pearl earrings and it’s the only jewelry I used to have back then. I wore it so that my ear pierce will not close. For my wedding jewelry, I bought a set of earrings, necklace and bracelet and wore it in my wedding. Though it is not as expensive as Akoya pearls, the set I got is elegant enough. That is what I love with Pearls. its simplicity exudes elegance and it can also be worn in all occassions.
