Life’s Lessons

For a number of nights since last week, Ace brings home some items given to him by the suppliers. He was directly dealing with them so they have known Ace and as each company’s tradition to thank those who do business with them, he received numerous gift items such as souvenir t-shirts, tumblers, calendars, promotional pens, among others. I know it’s normal to receive gifts with the nature of his work but I sternly remind him not to ask. If the suppliers hand a gift to him, receive it wholeheartedly but NEVER EVER ask for something to avoid issues that may lead him to lost his job. We’re not sure how others think so it’s better to be safe than sorry. Afterall, they’re all material things that can be bought and his reputation and dignity is more important than having those things from the suppliers.
