TV-less

It’s more than a month now that we are TV-less. Our Samsung 22″ LCD TV broke days after the warranty expired. I’ve read in forums this is not an isolated case as many LCD TV owners had the same problem with ours…their TV broke as soon as the warranty expires. The reason? Technicians cannot give us the exact cause. It will not be because we overused it for we don’t watch TV day in and day out. The panel just broke. Which means, it has reached the end of its “lifespan”.

We brought the LCD TV at the service center days after and the technician’s diagnosis: broken panel (that would cost us more than half the price of the TV when we bought it). LCD TV panels don’t last that long. So that was the reason why Samsung LCD TVs marked down their prices lately! Samsung sales agent said prices of their LCD TVs went down because LED TVs are out in the market which is said to be better than the former but we don’t believe them. Manufacturers must have known the problem with the short lifespan of their LCD TV panels that’s why they came up with led tv.

To date, the TV is still with the service center. If it won’t be fixed, then let it be. I told Ace we will just sell it to Samsung so they could use some parts that they would need to repair other LCD TVs.*lol*. I don’t mind to be TV-less because I am not TV addict. After all, I watch my fave local reality show in the internet but there’s one thing that I miss watching…my fave shows in Lifestyle Network.
