This is the talking Myna in Davao Crocodile Park. We were at the park last Wednesday. Ace didn’t report for duty because it’s MIL’s birthday and we are planning to treat PILs in a buffet lunch. They wanted to have dinner instead so I, Ace, Carol, Donald and Ella went to Crododile Park after we had lunch at Blue Carabao.
This Myna is really talkative. It says “pangit” (ugly) at one instant and then the opposite after a few minutes.Myna’s are great imitators of sound so it imitates what they heard not only the words but also the modulation of the voice. I just don’t know if they can imitate a phrase such as “bus for sale“ or they are limited only to a couple of words. If yes, it’d be a good marketing strategy to put them in the stores or just at the gate of somebody who sells something.LOL. Carol was like “we paid PhP100.00 just to be called ugly?” but the Myna cannot understand her so the bird was speechless. The bird is in a cage and I had a hard time getting photo of it with the cage being invisible.
