In my previous post I mentioned about the Lego and Mega Bloks that I bought for a good deal at a surplus store. Then last week, Ace got a bunch of pre-owned Hotwheels and Matchbox cars. The big guy is such a happy camper!
The next day, he cleaned each toy like he was cleaning his motorbike. Wiped each with a damp cloth and applied a car paint protectant wax. The toys looked brand new right after! Lookie, aren’t they all shining like a brand new Hotwheels and Matchbox right from box?

During our supposed to be afternoon nap last Monday, Ace didn’t took a snooze. I thought he slept beside me. I was half awake when I heard a sound. I thought our neighbor’s kid is playing outside. When I opened my eyes, I saw Ace seated beside me, playing with his cars making a sound of a running car. He seems like a little kid playing with his little toys. Precious moment! Sadly, I wasn’t able to take a video of that scene. Next time I’ll see to it that my LX5 is beside me all-the-time so I can snap a photo or take a video of Ace when the little kid in him is playing.

I opened my live writer to write a blog post but I was sidetracked over the great domain deal in namecheap. I am a loyal customer of namecheap so I grabbed the chance to register a domain for only $1.99! What a steal!
Anyway, back to regular programming. I was supposed to blog about the US Surplus Warehouse that we frequent lately. It’s been more than a year since we “discovered” the great deal of US goodies and it is where I got my beautiful decorative pots, candle holders, vases, and other kitchen stuffs. The Surplus Warehouse carries a lot of items from toys, kitchen items, shoes, electronics and appliances, books, furniture, laundry rack, discount dental equipments, baby strollers, and a lot more!
Ace got a “like new” Puma sneakers last week and I got a huge box of building blocks toys. The sales attendant said the box contains medium sized Lego blocks so Carol and I got a box each. We didn’t have the chance to play with those kind of toys when we were kids so playing with it is one of our back subjects. We are playing with “real” blocks during our childhood. The wooden blocks from the carpenter’s wood scrap. When we got home, I sorted the blocks and turned out, half of it are Mega Bloks and half are Lego.
Life’s been so busy so my toys are just kept in the plastic storage containers. Ace must have been bored so he pulled out one of the containers containing the Lego blocks. I sorted the blocks according to brand so one container for the Mega Bloks and another for Lego. In another box are the irregular shaped-blocks including the building pads and others. Ace started building a robot when I took this photo…

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a photo of his robot that he proudly showed to me after a few minutes of building the blocks. Next time I’ll make sure to take photos! Gotta finish some tasks so I could play with my blocks for the very first time later.

Four years of waking up in the morning with Ace beside me.

Four years ago, we tied the knot in front of HIM, our families, relatives and close friends.
Marriage, as they say, is not a bed of roses. True enough. We have gone through a lot but at the end of the day, we still find the love that binds us together in our hearts and we continue to love unconditionally.
We have made a lot of happy memories that served as our inspiration to go on with life. We are absolutely inseparable and we share the same interests. There may be something lacking in our lives now but we learned to enjoy what was given to us and what we now have. What is important is – we are together every single day and we are spending every single minute of our lives together.
Four years of marriage and counting…and I must say…I wanna grow old with you!
Happy 4th wedding anniversary, Neyko!
